He then went out to truck and came back with a tarp to put on the floor and proceeded to clean the dining room chair pads leaving me one to sit in as he finished everything else first so I would have something to sit on. The furniture was so bad as we had left it in my wife's house for over a year with a house-sitter. He worked on that recliner for over an hour. He also pointed out one of the dining room chairs had a stain on it and he did not think he could remove it before starting. I told him to do his best as the furniture had been abused. When he finished with the couch, recliner and 7 out of 8 of the chairs he gave me the first one he did and it was already dry. After finishing the job all of the furniture looked like it did when my wife bought it amazing!!! The stain on the chair was not even there, I could not tell which one it was. I highly recommend Santiago to anyone!! I will definitely be using them again in the future. We have had difficulty finding anyone in Black Canyon City who could do the job. My mother had received a recommendation to contact the Cross Brothers for any local grading or concrete work. She called Casey Cross on Thanksgiving to ask if he could look at our driveway. Casey visited our house the following morning, November 23rd, to provide an estimate. He gave us a general plan of approach, including cleaning out the drainage ditch, sloping the driveway for better drainage, and asking us if we wanted water bars or dips installed. Casey gave us a ballpark estimate of 10 hours at $65.00 per hour, give or take a few hours. He agreed to start Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. Casey was punctual; since he lives only a few miles from us, he drove his backhoe to our place and started work right away. It took him only 7 hours to complete the work, and he did a much better job than I expected. Not only did he take down some of the caliche high spots, he was able to pull additional fill material from the edge of the driveway to level and properly slope the grade. I would hire him again for grading work. We plan to use his services when it comes time to concrete the driveway and for an excavation work associated with building our house.
