They charged me for drive time TO AND FROM the appt. They also didn't quite have enough freon to fill my very average size AC system so they charged me for another appt, once again the drive time TO AND FROM the appt. This means they are essentially charging double time to their customers if they are going from appt to appt!! This didn't come out until I got charged $600 for a simple freon fill up. I've had many of these appointments before in my various rental houses and I've never been charged $600 for filling freon. When I told management (John) my camera saw their tech was only on site for an hour, he pulled the driving records and showed me they charge the drive time both ways too. In addition, if the tech doesn't have enough freon, any other AC company in the world would send the tech out again for free due to the embarrassment of the tech not having the most basic material that is so common to need when ACs go out. The technician was great, but the billing practices and management have backwards and corrupt views. How is it my fault you needed another trip because your tech ran out of freon? Why am I responsible to pay drive time between your appointments both ways, when your tech could be coming from California for all I know??

No phone call back so at 11:00 I called the office, secretary said the repairman was on the radio and would call me back.  He did call and said he was not able to verify they could get the part and was waiting to hear from the Phoenix office and would call me.
heAt 1:15 I called back and asked if there was someone else I could speak with to get this done and the owner, John, got on the phone. I explained the situation to him, he was very cranky, and said it was very difficult to get through to Trane to get an answer and would call me back, which he did.  He said they told him I had no warranty and quoted me a price, I said but I have a full extended warranty, he said the part could be trucked up but insisted that I would need to pay up front for the part then get reimbursed by Trane afterwards.  I told him that I wanted to verify with Trane that was the process, but he said that I needed to order now to get it done, but I had a feeling this was wrong.  He said so much time had been spent calling and he wanted to do the work after all of that.  Turns out Trane never deals with or reimburses customers, only dealers, and only Trane authorized dealers can do the work and get reimbursed, customers never pay up front. The Trane warranty people said his company is not authorized to do the work and get reimbursed, so I knew that was the reason he was insisting I pay him up front.  I called him back and told him what I had learned, and that if I had paid him for the part there would be no reimbursement, and that he was not an authorized Trane dealer, and he said he knew that.  I told him that he wasted my time and his, that was dishonest to say I should pay up front then get reimbursed knowing that it does not work that way.  I knew he wanted me to be out the money for the expensive part and all of the labor so he could make the money.  I told him forget it, said let's settle up for the service call and paid him by credit card.  Bottom line:  The owner's actions were dishonest, and he knew how the warranty works, hoping that I would not question or make phone calls to check out the facts.   I would never hire them ever again, and would not recommend anyone use this company unless you check out the facts and determine if there is warranty coverage.

Marty had come the end of last year to inspect and maintain both furnace and hot water heater.  I needed a report to get insurance stating that both were installed and functioning properly.  I also wanted to know this both for my safety and to keep the cost of running them down.

Both times Marty was professional, knowledgeable and easy going.  He clearly explained what was going on and what needed to be done.

Also, both times I called the woman answering (I'm sorry I forgot your name) was friendly and helpful.

Thank you both.

I called Master. Mechanical because a contractor had not finished a furnace job after a 7 month period and left me high and dry without heat for the Flagstaff winter. John went ahead and put me at the top of the queue because his other customers had a furnace but just wanted a replacement. He came in with his crew, supervised and stayed for the trickiest parts. He also inspected the previous guy's work, which the ducting work was very good (although the previous guy had a second guy come in who cut the ducting crooked. They put a high efficiency furnace in. This was my second home which I kept at 55 degrees when I wasn't there, and 72 when I was. No bill exceeded $55 for the winter. I had heat and was snug as a bug within 30 hours of contacting John. Very pleased.

As far as know he did a good job . The problem is the price. I was charged the labor rate from the time he left the office until he got back. He was only here an hour . His driving time should have been at a much lower rate . Also, if you live outside the Flagstaff area you will be charged a sepatre travel rate
