We have been in business since 1984 with 15 employees. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and have a couple of different financing options available. We have special promotions from time to time and that information would come directly from our company. We ALWAYS do the right thing for our customers!

"I bought a new 5 ton air conditioner. The day it was installed (in May) it ran 9 hours solid without stopping, that I know of. I finally went to bed at 9:30 and it was still running. I called after about 5 hours and the guy was supposed to stop by on his way home. Never showed. The family room where the thermostat is and was set at 75 by the installers ended up being 65 degrees (I was so cold that I brought an indoor thermometer into the room and a blanket) when I went to bed, thermostat was showing 75, and the conditioner was still running. Although being reassured that my conditioner is plenty big enough for the size of my home, this has been a complaint every summer (3rd summer now). Every time I complain they have checked it out and it is supposedly fine. I am told that it is normal for my conditioner to run 4-6 hours nonstop on summer hot days. Others I know don’t experience this with their conditioner and they don’t feel it is normal. Their conditioner goes on and off all day like one would expect, never running more than 15-20 minutes at a time. Today, the conditioner has been and still is running for 4 hours nonstop. Thermostat is set at 77 and indoor thermometer that I just brought in is at 74 and still going down. This is normal? It took my old trane conditioner 20 years to start running like this. If you are looking at a Lennox unit, according to B&D it is normal for a brand new unit to run like a 20 year old different brand unit. DON’T BUY A LENNOX OR DO BUSINESS WITH B&D. I HAVE ALREADY STARTED SAVING FOR ANOTHER UNIT THAT WON’T BE A LENNOX!!!!"

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

While you can perform many routine home maintenance jobs yourself, it’s often a good idea to bring pros in for certain tasks. HVAC maintenance, fireplace and chimney inspections, foundation repairs, and roof inspections and repairs should be handled by professionals who know what to look for and can safely perform repairs. You may also find it helpful to hire a local house cleaning service to help with deep cleaning.

Blower door tests are measured in a few different ways, but the most popular are air changes per hour (ACH) and cubic feet of air (CFM) moving through the house per hour. A good ACH score is less than 2ACH, but 1ACH is better. This means the house experiences a total air change within 60 minutes (for 1ACH). For 2ACH, there’s a complete change every 30 minutes, and so on. CFM scores are similar in that a lower score means less air change, and therefore less leakage.

Audits typically take 2-4 hours, depending on the property size and energy systems.

Setting your AC unit to 78 degrees can, indeed, help you save energy. In fact, according to experts, every degree you turn the unit up could save you between 1% and 3% on your energy bills. That said, turning your unit off entirely while you’re out might actually be less efficient than keeping it on at a higher temperature. Why? The unit will need to work extra hard to cool the house back off again after all those hot hours.

After you receive your audit and report, review the findings and determine which of the prescribed changes you want to make to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Start by contacting the type of professionals recommended by the auditor who can help you remedy the issues discovered during the audit. Prioritize the projects by urgency, importance, and budget. Then, gather estimates from several professionals, remembering to verify any necessary licensing and experience information.
