"Jeff Stoner, owner and excellent electrician, arrived on time ready to tackle our problems. He explained what needed to be done, then set about getting everything fixed in record time! In spite of the cabinet guys making Jeff's job more difficult, he was cheerful and professional at all times! We were very impressed with his knowledge and approach to problem solving, he is a master and works fast. The price was extremely fair, we have suffered bad experiences in the past, before we joined Angies List, and we were very happy with the excellent work and the cost.

"I couldn?t be happier with the work River Sun Solutions did installing my off-grid solar system with generator backup. From the very beginning, their service was absolutely perfect ? professional, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. The quality of their work really stands out. The installation was done with great attention to detail, and everything was completed to a very high standard. It?s clear they take pride in what they do. Most importantly, my system has been operating for over a year now without a single issue. That kind of reliability speaks volumes about the quality of their design and installation. If you?re considering an off-grid solar setup, I highly recommend River Sun Solutions. They deliver exactly what they promise ? high-quality work and exceptional service."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.
