Payment is primarily determined by the length of the work. Less than 1 week - due on completion. More than 1 week - labor costs to date due each week, material costs to date due on completion or every 30 days. The company virtually makes nothing until the job is completed as agreed and final payment is received.

I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter by trade but after 15 years left it to pursue other things. I have had rental properties and done hundreds of property rehabs and remodels over the years.
