"Nathan was amazing. He painted our very difficult 15’ ceiling. He didn’t tape anything. He did it all free hand. It was like Michelangelo painting the Sistine ceiling.☺️. Nathan is a perfectionist. Will definitely call him when we want the house exterior done."

"I googled repair men on the internet on a holiday weekend that were close to the jasper arkansas area and this business was the first one that I saw that had 5 star ratings. I contacted the owner, Jade, and advised him of what we needed .. an ac window unit cleaned , and he came out the very next day , on a weekend day, and fixed the problem. He is a very professional, polite , and honest man and will recommend things to you for preventative maintenance for the future. I would recommend reaching out to him before anyone else! Awesome job! I will definitely be reaching out to him for any future work that may arrise."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Some homeowners have luck using pressure washers, but this only works for old or weaker concrete sealants and with very powerful pressure washers. You’ll get better results by pressure washing water-based sealants. However, it’s worth trying on any sealant if you’re hoping for the least toxic, least expensive, and most DIY-friendly option. To try this method, rent or buy the most powerful pressure washer you can find and take several passes at the concrete, completely pressure washing the entire area. You may need to repeat the process multiple times to see results.

You can sand paint off a wall. However, it's difficult and time-consuming. Depending on why you wish to remove the paint, there are simpler ways to achieve similar results. Scraping off any loose paint and applying a skim coat is the most common way to hide a damaged wall or paint job.

Clean and prime surfaces before repainting to ensure adhesion and durability.
