"I have to give a HUGE shout out to Mahan Septic Systems and Dirt Work from Hot Springs, AR. We had a stopped up toilet and needed some assistance. We found them on Angi and they contacted us immediately. We made arrangements and they came the next day and found the issue and solved it. They even came back the following day and fixed the toilet lid (which wasn't even on the fix list!). I would highly recommend giving them a call the next time you need any septic and plumbing work. Call (501) 617-7689. Thank you Mahan!"

"These guys are exceptional at what they do. Everyone was polite and more than accommodating to our needs. Work was done on time and on budget. Very easy to work with. They made sure we were included in the project steps with daily updates. Equipment was in excellent condition and when job was completed we walked threw to make sure what we needed was to our satisfaction before any mention of payment. This will be the only contractor I will recommend or use in future projects. Thank you to all the Cypress Bottom Construction crew for a job well done!"

Maintain open communication and address issues as they arise, ensuring contract terms cover potential delays.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

The cost to repair a crawl space runs between $1,500 and $15,000, depending on the extent of the damage. Major flooding or water repairs can cost up to $10,000 for removal and repairs. If you simply need to clean your crawl space, expect to pay between $2,000 and $6,000 for a major cleanout. Replacing a crawl space beam due to rot or damage can cost between $1,500 and $5,000, while removing and replacing damaged insulation costs between $1,000 and $4,000.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

The best type of soil to build on is a mixture of sand and clay, known as loam soil. Loam soil has the best combination of these soil types to build a foundation on. The clay particles help with water retention, so it won’t erode like sandy soil might, and the sandy particles help with drainage, so you won’t see unsafe soil expansion or have an increased risk of leaks from water sitting against your foundation.
