"Caleb is a very courageous young man to embark on owning/managing his own company + ability to perform such rigorous work with an incredibly can-do positive attitude! He quickly responded to my request for animal elimination services, followed through on promised appointments, gave me an affordable estimate for services prior to performing all work. He went above beyond inspecting the property, installing one-way traps, sealing off every possible entry point, even painted the metal plates he installed to match the house! He returned in a timely manner to take care of traps & successfully completed all work to my utmost satisfaction. He even offered to fix a few things that needed attention outside the scope of contracted services which I gladly paid him to perform (so I didn't have to do it)! He offers a very reasonably priced insurance policy for one year in case there are future problems. Caleb restores my confidence in the younger generation. He's fearless!"

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Squirrels are pretty skittish creatures, and they dread the presence of rodent-chasing dogs and cats. Sudden noises and bursts of activity can send them scampering away. Anything with an element of surprise, like motion-detecting lighting, strobe lights, and noisy wind chimes, can unsettle them. Even loud radios and voices can be perceived as threatening and terrifying to these furry critters.

If a coyote approaches you, never run away, even if it goes against your natural instinct. Make yourself look big, shout loudly, and throw something in the coyote's direction. Be persistent and continue these scare tactics until they move away. Then, you should move away slowly, always facing the coyote.

Scent deterrents like ammonia, vinegar, mothballs, and pepper can help keep coyotes away, but these are best used in tandem with other preventative measures. Remember that ammonia and vinegar can kill your plants and/or grass, so it’s best to soak rags in these substances or spray them on hardscaped areas to avoid damaging your landscape.

To make sure the removal process goes smoothly, try asking your pro the following questions:

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • How much experience do you have with relocating beehives?

  • Do you remove the honey and honeycomb?

  • Do you relocate the bees alive?

  • Do you have any references from previous clients?

You should never use toxic baits or poisons, such as rodenticides designed for mice and rats, to kill or trap possums. Using these toxicants is illegal in many areas and can lead to fines or other penalties. Furthermore, these poisons can cause unnecessary suffering for the animal and pose a significant risk of accidental poisoning to pets or other neighborhood wildlife. Instead of using poisons, it is best to stick with humane methods like live trapping.
