"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

40 employees. South Alabama Electric Co. is based in the Mobile, Alabama, area. President Alvin Wilson and Vice-President Innes Hardy started the company in 1984 with the goal of becoming a leading electrical contractor in the region. Our primary business is commercial and residential service as well as commercial electrical and residential contracting.

"With the microwave and cabinets being brand new the has to drill halls in upper cabinets to mount as well as the back wall. They also installed the outlet. They were on time (early actually) processional and efficient. Very pleased with the experience from office staff and scheduling to the men who came to the house."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"Terrible company. Possibly a scam. They attempted to sell me a part they didn't even have, and after waiting patiently for OVER A MONTH, I canceled my order. When calling them to confirm, they told me they never had the part to sell to me. What a joke!"

"I called 6 companies and got estimates from all of them. This was the only company who came out and did a heat load on the house; climbed up into the attic to inspect the duct work; then gave me 3 options in writing including what rebates were available on each option, then they explained the difference between all 3 options so that we decided to go with a dual fuel replacement unit (Who knew this even existed?) After explaining what a dual fuel unit was, we realized this was only $200 more than the regular gas furnace we had; after rebates. They also went up from a 3 ton unit to a 3 1/2 ton unit. With the rebates this was the 2nd least expensive option. We were very pleased with their extensive knowledge and how they educated us, the buyer. Price was very good"

Chavis Furniture and Appliance has been in business since 1952 providing Home Appliances, Furniture and Bedding. Your will see the largest selection of built-in appliances in the area and many products are connected so you can get a good idea how they will perform in your home. Our employees are knowledgeable and will make every effort to help you achieve the look and performance you expect.

"On behalf of a family member I am writing this review. Appliance was delivered, installed and was defected from the start. They came twice and nothing fixed it. They were blaming the manufacturer and vice versa. So far nothing has been done to correct or replace the appliance. Been an established company since the early fifties ? I don't think replacing the appliance will break the bank."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

While refinishing your appliances can make them look fresh, you may prefer to keep their original coatings as long as possible. The best way to maintain your appliances’ appearance is to keep them clean. You can do this by:

  • Wiping up messes and spills on appliances as soon as possible.

  • Avoid using harsh cleaners or abrasive cleaning tools.

  • Handling objects with care near appliances to avoid scratching or denting them.

No, a dent shouldn't impact the overall performance or health of a refrigerator. A refrigerator door dent is generally just a cosmetic issue that shouldn't interfere with any of the appliance's other components. However, a dent that is deep enough to impact the insulation or water dispenser could reduce the appliance's life span. If this happens, you'll need to do a cost analysis to decide whether you want to repair or replace a refrigerator.

Yes. Every toaster is bound to accumulate a build-up of crumbs and food particles. If left unattended, these can turn into a fire hazard.

If you burn popcorn or other food items in the microwave, the smell lingers for an uncomfortably long time. To get the burnt smell out of your microwave, remove any leftover burnt food debris and then heat 1 cup of water in a microwave-safe container for about three minutes. Next, clean the inside of the microwave with a soft microfiber cloth, water, and a small amount of dish soap. Dry and let the microwave air out for two to three hours.

If you've ever tried to run your dishwasher while drying your hair, you’ll understand why dedicated circuits are essential for preventing blown fuses. Appliances that require more electricity than the circuit can handle could blow fuses, trip breakers, overheat, and risk an electrical fire.

Having a dedicated circuit ensures that your appliance gets the current it needs without overloading the other circuits in your home.
