We can take on a wide range of residential and commercial electrical projects to include full installation for additions and remodels as well as wiring/panel upgrades, and a variety of other projects. We take pride in the quality of our work and our commitment to outstanding results. We look forward to building strong, long-term relationships with our clients and guarantee your satisfaction.

"Needed an outside outlet created and indoor/outdoor ceiling fans installed. I thought that I needed a GFIC breaker line from the electrical panel for the outside outlet. John determined that wasn't necessary. Verified with the water filtration company's technical support. Confirmed that the wiring could be pulled off one of the bedroom outlets. John saved me around $450 by using his expertice (compared with another elec.company's quote). Outside outlet and fans work perfectly. I'll be using this company for all my future electrical jobs."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

It is relatively rare for a ceiling fan to fall. A properly installed ceiling fan is attached firmly to a ceiling joist. Even if the fan is wobbling, it’s unlikely to fall down. However, you should promptly repair your fan when you notice wobbling or imbalance just to be safe.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

Fans not turning on, wobbling, noisy motors, or faulty remote controls are common issues requiring repair.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

If you’re replacing an old fixture with a ceiling fan, you usually won’t need a permit, but if your electrician runs new wiring for the fixture, you likely will need a permit. Building permits are necessary in most municipalities if you’re making changes to your electrical system, so even if you have partial wiring run to the area and need new wiring installed for added functionality, you’ll probably need a permit. Your electrician should be able to let you know if you need one, and they’ll typically file the paperwork for you.
