"This is the best, most hard working business doing lawn care and pressure washing. My home looks awesome, my lawn looks better than it has since I quit doing it myself. They care about what they are doing and are the most professional and friendly people you could hope to meet! I highly recommend them, and am very happy to now be on their schedule for continued lawn care"

"John came right out and looked at the job, listened carefully and quoted me a fair price much better than what Angieâ s list posted for the job. About half of what Angieâ s list said the job would cost! After agreeing on the price he did the job right away and cleaned up afterwards! He was fair, respectful, understanding and professional. Iâ ll definitely remember them and call them again for my roofing needs!"

"It gives me great pleasure to offer this review for Michael's Complete Home Maintenance. I have had two occasions to call on Michael Miller for his services. First, to repair a toilet installation that became an emergency situation, and second, a washing machine repair. The first happened on a Saturday and Michael was on scene with an hour. He took care of the problem making certain to attend to all matters of the flooding that had occurred. Second was my washing machine repair which he performed in under thirty minutes. I live in Ozark, Alabama but am originally from New England and I can say with absolute surety that what Michael charged me for his work would have been four to five times greater back home. Michael's work is outstanding and the response time remarkably quick. When he says he can do anything this is not an exaggeration or hyperbole. Hr really can. He has my complete faith and trust. There are many projects in my home that need a skilled hand and Michael will be the only one I contact to perform the work."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, an elevated deck can increase a home's resale value. Homeowners can expect a 65% return on investment from the cost of a second-story deck installation. For example, if you spend $5,000 to install a second-story deck, that deck will add $3,250 to the value of your home.

Composite decking boards aren't your only options for building a deck. There are several other types of materials for decks, including wood and aluminum decking. Wood decking comes in many different wood species, offering natural beauty and classy timelessness to your yard. Aluminum is a lightweight, water-resistant, and low-maintenance material that is also non-slip.

Yes, it is possible to add an under-deck drainage system to an existing deck by retrofitting it to the structure. This process may require some prep work. For example, many drainage systems are installed on top of the deck joists, which would require you to remove the decking boards and railings first. To avoid this, you could opt for a below-the-joist drainage system. For best results and to ensure proper installation, it is recommended to consult a professional. A pro can inspect your deck, make any necessary repairs, and then install the drainage system correctly.

Pressure-treated lumber is one of the most affordable types of decking upfront. This material is widely available, so you can usually find pressure-treated lumber at almost any local home improvement store you visit. Keep in mind that wood requires a lot of upkeep with repainting and restaining, so any kind of wood may be more expensive in the long run than something like PVC decking.

Liquid rubber is great for waterproofing, but it can damage your deck if it’s not applied correctly. First, it can trap moisture in the wood if the deck isn’t completely dry before application.  Second, applying it too thickly can create a heavy, rubbery surface layer that peels and cracks under fluctuating temperatures. For the best results, ensure the wood is completely dry before application, and apply the liquid rubber in thin, even coats. A quick inspection every now and then will help you catch any issues early, keeping your deck protected and looking its best.
