"AG CONSTRUCTION did an amazing job and I am very pleased with the results. Aaron was very polite and professional, he worked fast yet very efficient with notice to all details involved. He repaired all the dry rot underneath the front windows, cut my overgrown hedges back located right in front of the windows, power washed and painted all the exterior wood and trim on the house and hung new shutters for all front windows. If it were possible to give a rating higher than 5 I definitely would. I highly recommend AG CONSTRUCTION! Yes, painting textured walls is harder than painting standard walls. All the uneven textures make it challenging to get adequate coverage and can leave you with small, bare sections if you’re not meticulous with your painting technique. Textured walls also often require a third paint coat to ensure total coverage, increasing the project time and cost.

Soft and light colors are more common in bathrooms than dark colors, partially because they create a larger sense of space. Clean eggshell paint walls or other neutrals like beige and gray work. Lighter shades of blue and green are also popular bathroom colors. If you want to incorporate dark, bold colors, use them as accents in small places rather than on the entire bathroom.

You can technically use wall paint on a ceiling, but it’s not ideal. Wall paint is thinner and more prone to dripping, which makes it harder—and messier—to apply overhead. Any significant level of sheen can highlight ceiling imperfections and create glare from lighting. Flat ceiling paint is the better choice for a smooth, even finish that hides flaws.

While it is possible for painter’s tape to leave some residue, it is designed specifically not to. If it does leave residue behind, it likely means that the painter’s tape was left on too long after the paint dried.

If you want your paint to have a smooth finish, the technique you use is very important. Keep your brush at a 90-degree angle while applying the paint and feather as you go. Between coats, sand the wall lightly using a very high grit sand sponge of at least 220 grit.
