"I highly recommend his services. I frankly was not aware this 9 year old buckled carpet could be made to look like freshly laid carpet again. I thought it would need to be replaced and we are thrilled. This gentleman is polite, works quickly and delivers more than he promises. I am a highly satisfied customer who is pleased to recommend him."

"I hired Larry to carpet all my bedrooms and put tile in 3 bathrooms. Right in the middle of the job I had him tear out a plexi shower insert and build me a tile shower, and am I glad I did ! The shower is beautiful as is everything he did. He did the entire job in seven days which is impressive. Larry is personable and easy to work with as were the 2 men who helped him. Larry worked seven days straight till the job was finished and never once was he late. I already have two more jobs I am planning on having him do for me. Thanks Larry for a job well done !"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

It's best to wait until the newly installed carpet has fully settled and dried before moving furniture back into the room. Your carpet installation professionals can provide guidance on the recommended wait time based on factors such as the type of carpet and adhesive used. Moving furniture back in too soon could damage the carpet or affect its adherence to the floor.

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.

The first step in budgeting for carpet is to determine the amount of carpet you need and the type of carpet you want. You might be tempted to opt for the least expensive option if you have a limited budget, but a low-quality carpet won’t last as long as a high-quality one. When accounting for future carpet repair costs, it makes sense to buy the best-quality carpet you can afford.

Carpet is most often affixed to the floor by tacks in tack strips rather than nailed or glued directly to the subfloor. The tack strips are nailed to wood subfloors. Even if you want to install carpet over concrete, you’ll adhere the tack strips to the concrete with masonry nails or a liquid adhesive.

Avoid plush, high-pile, or thick carpets on your stairs because they can increase the risk of slipping and wear down quickly in busy homes. Also, ensure the carpet you install is stain-resistant, particularly if you select a light color.
