Great experience from the salesperson Adelle to the installers. Was very happy with my floors

The installers were friendly but in a big hurry to go to the next job. Installation overall was below average. They messed up a corner and tried to patch it and did not do a good job. The seams of the carpet are not great. They did not roll over padding on my steps so you can feel the wood corners of each step under the carpet. They messed up the padding around two vents. They WILL be returning to do the necessary repairs! All of this could have been avoided if they would have just taken their time to do the correct job. I could tell they were experienced and had worked together on many jobs. Probably gave done very good on most. That is what bothered me the most about the lackluster installation. There seems to be no respect for customers. They were just willing to do the below-average job and hope we would accept it. I will update my review when the repairs are complete and hopefully will be giving them a better review. Thank you.

overall the job was done correctly and looked good after the installation was finished. the problem with empire today was the lack of communication. I was told a few weeks prior to my installation that I would get a call early that day with an estimated time when the installer will be coming out. went all day without hearing anything and called customer service. never could seem to answer my question. finally, I got a call from the installers toward the end of the day and the floor was finally complete around 8 pm after I had taken a day off of work to be sure someone could be home. the day after I noticed not all work materials were cleaned up as I found a few nails on the floor and I found dried up putty outside on the patio etc where the workers worked. I am 50/50 on if I would use empire again next time I need flooring.

I was told it would be install on the 17 of June but they did not show or call when i call at 4pm he told me he did not what happy it was too weeks later But i Love the hard wood floor.

The installers were great. Everything else about this project was a nightmare. To begin I was suppose to be getting 10 mm laminate flooring, but received 8 mm and was told there is no difference. If I had went with Lowes I would have been getting 12 mm and at a cheaper price. The process took about 2 weeks to complete, they didn't send out enough supplies to complete the job. The installers came to house a total of 5 times - I had to take off my job one day and lost a day of pay, my husband had to take off of his part-time job 1 day and lost a day of pay, my 82 year old mother came to the house to stay and on that day they didn't show up because the additional supplies hadn't arrived. My house was in complete shambles during this process and I'm still trying to get everything back in place. I went out and obtained three estimates and went with Empire mainly because they could install the next day - no other reason. Since I was told I was getting 10 mm, I decided I would could live without the 12 mm and 10 mm would suffice, but I definitely did not want 8 mm. After all the trouble I went through I ended up with 8 mm and a company that doesn't care after the check clears. We didn't appear to be a priority to Empire because they had been paid on a Saturday, March 4th but they were not completely finish with my house until March 17th and we are only talking about 3 rooms and two hallways. I just wish I had known up front that the laminate we had chose was 8 mm, if we were told it was 8 mm we would have chosen something else or went with another company. I just don't feel like I got what I paid for.

Installation went well and the carpet looks wonderful. The reason I gave the company 3.5 stars was due to the fact on the day of installation I did not receive a call from the installer and nobody showed up. Next day I did not hear from anyone and had to call. Customer service said they would have to reschedule me like I did not show up at my on house. Decided to cancel but they said they could show up on Saturday morning. They actually did call and show up on Saturday but they wasted two of my days. By the way the day I was originally scheduled for I called customer service and they told me the installer may be late and he had to 6:00pm to make to the house so I wasted my entire day at home waiting and nobody called or showed up. No complaints on install. The did an excellent job on installing the carpet.

The sales rep. and the installers were acceptable. They did OK. The support group behind the seans couldn't get anything right. After we signed a contract with the first rep. from the company and set an install date for a week later everything fell apart. Customer service in Texas called three times and wanted to schedule a date and time for their rep. to come out and give us a proposal and an install date. We'd tell them we'd already signed with them and had a date. Then a rep came to our door unanounced to give us a proposal. We turned him away. When our install date and time came and went we called customer service. They had no record of the date. We had to reschedule four or five days later. This time the installers showed up on time but, the two roles of carpet they were given were from a different dye lots. The colors name was the same but, side by side you could see a shade or two difference. The installers finally got it worked out for us. Instead of postponing our install again and having to drive to Atlanta to get two roles of matching carpet they laid the two roles in different parts of the house far enough apart where the shade difference was undetectable. I did call customer service again one more time to tell them I believed they owed us a compensation for customer satisfaction. We've got a check for $150. coming back. Carpet and padding is great. Instalation looks good. Sales rep and installers were well manered and respectfull. The people behind the seans, not so good. Take a chance if you dare.

DO NOT let this company pressure you to pay in full before the work is done. They will try, citing "company policy." Read your (14 page) contract carefully.

This company put in flooring our house and the quality of the was excellent and took only two days. The workers were great.

The finished job is beautiful and the workmen were skilled. Work was done in a timely fashion. Also we appreciate a price adjustment in our favor was made due to an unexpected problem.
