"Mark Spears was a wonderful rep for his company. The company itself appears to be truly efficient and able to do the job. I was very impressed by Mark Spears Construction and Painting. Currently, I await a legal decision awarding me the legal decision for reimbursement from another construction company for work poorly done. When that occurs, I will be able to hire Mark and his company to correct this other company's work."

"Overall an enjoyable experience! Chuck was courteous enough to let me know when there was a scheduling change and arrived on time at our rescheduled date. He was also very flexible in his schedule and made sure to place the customers plans first. He was able to repair our double-paned solid glass door in about an hour for a reasonable price considering the amount of labor that was required for him to completely remove and re-frame the door. I plan to use their service again when needed and confidently recommend them to anyone for their handyman needs."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Shock can clear a cloudy pool if the problem is insufficient free chlorine or an accumulation of chloramines from “spent” chlorine. However, it can make the issue worse if a high level of chlorine or a pH imbalance is the root cause of the problem. Test your pool water before treating the cloudiness to ensure you’re making the right call.

While you should avoid draining an above ground pool on a regular basis, it may be necessary if you are experiencing common signs of major pool problems. When you fully drain your pool, do so slowly with the proper equipment and always avoid draining on a very hot day. In many cases, the pool liner and equipment depend on the cooling effect of the water.

Common problems include liner tears, pump malfunctions, and algae buildup. Regular maintenance prevents many issues.

Yes, you can absolutely use a sand filter with a saltwater pool, but you’ll have to make sure you have the right grade of sand to catch smaller particles, just like in a standard pool. To choose the right pool filter, consider the degree of filtration you’ll need. Cartridge or diatomaceous earth filters can remove smaller particles, so they’re better suited for a less chlorinated saltwater pool.

Building a pool yourself will take at least eight to 12 weeks. After all, this is the building timeline after hiring a pool contractor who knows how to draw up plans, analyze your landscape, and apply for proper permits. If you choose to tackle any part of the process alone, assume building a pool will take two to three months at a minimum.
