"The person doing the pressure washing was friendly and did his job extremely well. I was astound how clean my driveway looked after he pressure washed it. I will definitely use the company Water Wizards again and recommend them for all your pressure washing needs."

"I cannot say enough about this team. My experience was very positive with them. They were super communicative and clear about everything that we discussed, and they did everything that they said that they would do and did it well. They showed up to work early each day and went straight to work. They took extra care in making sure that everything was done well and made sure that I was happy with their work, which I was. They cleaned up after themselves and placed everything back where it goes neatly and orderly. I asked for extra things after they had gotten started that I did not think of before and they were very cooperative and understanding with me and accommodated me in every way without hesitation. I was really comfortable with them and never felt uneasy about anything. Their quotes were very reasonable. I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed if you use them. I promise. I have not had the best luck with contractors in the past, but this one is top notch. I will definitely use them again and refer them to anyone that I know. They are great!! Thank you, guys. I appreciate your work and professionalism. Sincerely, Alison"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.
