Checked out the work that was being done there and contacted builder for an estimate. Explained that I needed two estimates, one to replace the damaged old roof and one that would remove old structure and replace with a pitched roof with brick columns. Builder worked with me to get the price down to where I could afford the pitched roof. He started promply,(6-7AM) he and crew worked most of the days (temp got over 100 in the afternoon and was there everyday up to about a week before the city inspector's visit. After that, it was a little slower going. Once plywood roof was installed, I brought up my concern with the valley being created with new roof and old roof as it would bring water toward chimney. He indicated that flashing would be enough. He brought in roofers that worked quickly, brought in brick masons that completed their part in one day. Company that installed the eves was in and out in two or three days. From there to finish, it was real slow. Some days he would only be there for an hour or so, As job winding down, there was a rain storm that showed that there was a roof leak in the chimney area. Builder came back with an additional change order to construct a custom chimney saddle that would raise the elevation to divert water better. There was an additional charge to this order that I agreed to. It took a few weeks and a few phone calls for him to return to build the saddle, during that time his cell number had changed and I only got it was when he called my cell. It was another week or so for him to return and finish with the shingles. The work order had other aspects for him to complete around the house, so he has only collected half of the change order ( I suspect that he feels that it will cost him more to correct the problem than to do the work correctly. I also needed to call him to clean up and remove the leftovers ( since then I have found old roof pieced thrown in the woods next to the house and some of the dirt removal that was in the change order was shouveled under bushes near the site that was to be cleared). Before he removed the leftover material, it rained again and it was still leaking. I called him and his cell phone indicated that he had not set up his voice mail. I used a friends cell and he picked up right after he did not answer my cell and I was able to inform him that the roof was still leaking and he indicated that he would take care of it. It is now over 120 days and he still has not set up his cell (334-401-1445) for receiving calls or he is letting mine go to voice mail, I have left a message on his business phone (334) 209-9213 but no response. I have given up on him. We have been lucky in that it has been very dry with little rain, this past summer and fall, but the last storm last week, caused water again to leak in that area. I am talking to different roofers now to have it done correctly. While the poach was done and looks great, it was the finishing and completing the job that has left a bad taste in my mouth. I would tell people that he does a great job in the beginning, but you need to keep a back-up payment until you have checked out everything and given it time to make sure things are correct. They were between jobs and completing the job on the roof. As they were finishing up I asked them why the the roof was bumped up in an area, and I noticed that the gutters were leaking, they said they would come back 2 weeks later to fix the gutters, they did come back to fix them and the gutter man told me that we needed facia boards, so they took down the gutters and installed the fascia board, then it was still leaking after that, so they caulked it and after that it was still leaking. They then came out to finish up the work of the barn and they told us that they couldn't fix our gutters. The last time that the gutter man came he brought someone with him the person he brought with him would also run and hide every time a police officer would drive. They then came out and put up 3 boards and scraped some paint on the barn, they were supposed to work on the windows and other things on the barn as well. They never came out and finished or cleaned up their mess. So I had to hire someone to take down the gutters and also to clean up the mess around the barn. I have tried to get this work corrected so sent letter to owner of the company and he has sent letters back to me that are not true about the dates and times his employers came out and worked on the barn, and then he stopped returning my calls."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/al/nauvoo/terry-lamb-contracting-inc-reviews-7552800.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Ron's Old Time Plumbing Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AL","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Ian C."},"reviewBody":"This was the first time I had used this company and was VERY impressed. When I called, Ron said someone would be at my house in an hour. Ron actually arrived about 40 minutes later. He was very professional and I enjoyed talking to him. After he explained what was wrong and the best solution he had the job finished in about 2 hours. That included leaving to purchase the replacement water heater. Ron also worked with me on splitting up the payment. I really appreciated that. RTG Siding took on my house repairs when no one else would. My house had failing vinyl siding, moisture into the sheathing, some rotten framing, and a crumbling concrete patio. No other company who was available at the time would take on my house after looking at it the work required. RTG...

Terrible. We use American Home Shield and they were called on May 20, 2013 because the unit wasn 't cooling. They came and said a board in the unit in the attic needed to be replaced. They ordered the wrong part and it took a week to get it in. The rep came to our house at 10:00 PM and stayed...

FAQs for concrete finishing projects in Letohatchee, AL
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
