Fisher Remodelers, LLCNow that I’ve sold my house and moved out of the area I can give my review without accusations of bias, one way or the other, or trying to gain any financial benefit. Earl and I had a business (and a War Eagle!) relationship for over 15 years to my nearly complete satisfaction. The work performed by Earl’s company and his contractors was almost always excellent but on those rare occasions when their first effort didn’t meet my very demanding standards, there was never any complaint or argument from Earl, only the question “What do I need to do to make it right?” This even if they had to return more than once to make good the issue nor with any additional request for payment - the original estimate was the guaranteed contract until I was satisfied with the work. My opinion covers the wide variety of work Fisher Remodelers performed for me over that decade and a half, everything from back yard deck repairs to painting the house to repairing the water ingress damage in the home office to repairing the elusive roof leak at the chimney to replacing every window in the house (save one) to repairing the under sink cabinet water damage in the kitchen and the guest bathroom to the yearly inspection and repair as needed of the exterior wood trim, everything down even to the small matter of retrieving a flashlight I’d clumsily dropped between the wall studs while working in the attic. Southern Property Services LLCI was extremely please with the roof and garage work performed by Southern Properties which is why I hired them for a subsequent project immediately following project completion. The 2nd project was to pressure wash the garage floor and the 2nd story facia. Once completed, I observed that there was still dirt remaining on the facia on the back of the house. I took pictures and sent them was assured several times they would come back to address. After a number of text messages back and forth, they kept delaying stating they had been very busy. My last correspondence with them was this week advising me to contact the owner. I’m disappointed and dissatisfied with the of lack timely response to address so I would rate the pressure washing project a 2 star.- Ida C.

ALUMINUM SPECIALTY COBob Lysdale (business owner) did an absolutely outstanding job on this deck rebuild and new roof. Even though the company is named Aluminum Specialty Company, they do it all including wood decks. He met me at the house for an estimate at a time convenient for me and sent a written estimate. He presented a couple of options including screening in the deck and adding more deck space. After a couple of weeks I decided to just go with wood railings instead of screens and to just keep the existing deck area. After 2-3 weeks he called to schedule the install. He striped the old deck boards and stairs and replaced them with new lumber and added special trim to make the deck look awesome. Then he installed the insulated aluminum cover (roof). What a difference the roof made! He matched the existing trim color and trimmed out the new roof to make it look great like it was always meant to be there! He also did all the interface work to join it with the roof on the house and included a new gutter on the deck roof. Finally, he did a fantastic job on the lattice skirt underneath the deck. This really made it look good since the deck floor is about 5 feet above ground level. Rob does not rush his work--he takes his time to get it done right and makes sure the customer is happy. The price seemed reasonable but I must say that I did not get any other estimates for this job.- Douglas M.

ALUMINUM SPECIALTY COOur contact with Rob of Aluminum Speciality Company was positive from the very beginning. We called and asked him to come have a look at what needed to be done, whether or not he would take on the job as it was a rather small one, and give us an estimate. He told us when he could come and then called the next morning to say he was on his way. He did the necessary measurements and told us he would call with an estimate. He called within a few days with his estimate and we made the decision to have him perform the work. He then came to our home with a written contract for our signature and gave us an approximate start date. He had to order all of the materials for the job. He called back when he said he would and we set up the date for the job. Bad weather was expected so we made the decision to hold off for a day or two. Rob was willing to work with us on that and came on the day we agreed upon. Rob showed up at exactly the time he said he would and proceeded to work on the sunroom enclosure. He had to remove the existing enclosure before he could begin the replacement. He hauled away all of the old materials and when he and his worker left after the first day, you couldn't even tell they had been here! They did not leave any mess at all. He returned the next morning when he said he would and proceeded to finish the job. Before he left, the young man with him cleaned the windows and doors and vacuumed my floor! The materials he used were far superior to what was there originally. Again, when he left, you couldn't even tell he had been here. But we knew he had been here because we were left with a beautiful, more energy efficient sunroom that we thoroughly enjoy! I would highly recommend Rob and Aluminum Specialty Company.- Julia C.

It went well. A+ came when they said they would and were responsive. There were a few gaps in between the fence A+ built and the neighbors' fences, which is not good because we have small dogs. When I pointed that out to the foreman, he immediately had the workers fix the problem. I do think the wooden gate should have been wider to allow for a riding mower. Our small riding mower barely fits and a part has to be removed in order to get it through the gate. But aside from that, we are satisfied.
