"I would give a 0 if I could. Is it a thief if you give them money and they don't do the service then don't give the money back? If so, then David is a thief! It's been going on almost a year of trying to get my money back but David either doesn't understand English or he's purposefully manipulating the system and therefore, me, by playing games, not showing up for court, and not meeting deadlines, and most importantly NOT GIVING ME MY MONEY BASED ON THE JUDGEMENT BY THE COURTS issued last March!!! This is the case #, check it out for yourself: 22000428SCMXAX"

I'll be 100% Honest. I'm currently an Independent Contractor who primarily works for a small Residential Remodeling/Repair Company. I'm looking to slowly expand my personal efforts through the avenue of Painting whether interior or exterior. I have plenty of experience doing this kind of work in addition to soffit and fascia repair as well as any type of drywall work. I've painted the whole exterior of many houses throughout my city from The Hill to Midtown historical homes and this includes all sizes, levels and styles. From airless sprayer to paint brush and roller I have no doubt I can satisfy any expectations when it comes to quality. I'm currently one man with limited time who's looking for work on a smaller scale as to make some extra money on the side. I aim to be a man of fairness, integrity, respect and candid communication. Thanks for your consideration.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It’s often best to spray on deck sealer. Sprayers can apply sealant more quickly and evenly than rolling while still enabling you to reach tight spaces. When using a sprayer, always use a low-pressure setting at a close distance to ensure an even application. Avoid using sprayers on windy days.

Yes, it’s best to remove the previous coat of stain from your deck before restaining it, especially if the surface is in bad condition. Restaining on top of an old coat can lead to an uneven surface, as the new stain won’t fully soak into the deck material. That said, if your deck is in excellent condition, you may be able to get away with just cleaning the surface instead of sanding it and removing the old stain. If you choose not to remove the previous coat, it’s best to use the same type of stain for the new layer.

Staining a deck with a rag is typically a better option than using a brush, as it helps the stain penetrate deeper into the wood. However, both brushes and rags are best reserved for detailed work because using these tools on an entire deck can require tediously crawling around on your hands and knees. A pad applicator, sprayer, or roller are preferred alternatives to applying stain over the majority of a deck. Use a rag for railings and other detailed work, and let the wood soak up as much of the stain as possible before wiping away drips or pools.

If you’re deciding between limewash versus whitewash, know that both have a chalky matte appearance. Limewash is made from lime, water, and sometimes pigment, while whitewash consists of lime, water, white chalk, and binders (though you can get a similar look with watered-down white paint). Whitewash has fewer options for color customization, and it sits on surfaces instead of being absorbed into them, which can trap moisture. Whitewashing costs less—about $1.40 to $4.20 per square foot.

You should wait three to six months after you buy it to paint pressure-treated wood. It needs time to dry from the chemicals applied to it. The paint will not adhere to the treated wood as well if it’s still wet from chemicals. To test the wooden boards, drip water onto them. If the wood absorbs the water, it’s ready for painting. If the water beads up, it’s not dry enough to paint yet. You can build your deck or fence while the treated wood is still wet, but you’ll need to paint it later.
