"I can't say enough good things about Bill and his team. He's highly skilled, works fast, and very dependable. He was especially mindful of the details to make sure the new marble tile was installed correctly in a large master bath and adjoining closets, including replacing parts of the sub floor and using floor leveler to handle part of the floor that had settled over time. In addition, he did a beautiful job installing a complex linear shower drain and beautiful designer mosaic marble tile for the shower floor. When the time comes to remodel my other 2 baths, Bill is the first person I will call to get on his schedule."

"I used ASA Granite to put in new countertops in my home.  The price was very good which is why I used them.  I also liked that it came with a free sink.
I don't know much about granite but I think they did an ok job.  There is a big swirl in the slab that I kind of don't like, but to be fair I could have picked the slab myself if I had wanted to drive to their shop but I had declined.  Overall I feel like I got what I paid for.

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

Most repairs take 2-4 hours. Extensive repairs or full refinishing may require additional time, typically up to a full day.

Due to the acidity, using vinegar to clean quartz countertops can actually damage them. In fact, doing so can cause discoloration and surface damage in the quartz. While it’s possible to clean other countertops, like laminate, tile, and butcher block, with vinegar, it’s best to stay from this cleaning solution if you have quartz in your kitchen or bathroom.

Overall, granite tends to cost more than marble. Prices for each material will fluctuate depending on the source of the stone, your location, shipping costs, and the thickness of the material. Labor to install marble or granite countertops typically ranges from $35 to $45 per hour. Granite and marble tile and slab costs compare as follows:

  • Marble tile: $7–$10

  • Granite tile: $5–$15

  • Marble slab: $25–$60

  • Granite slab: $50–$100

You can’t change the color of the stone, but you can update granite countertops without replacing them by painting them. Because granite is a porous material, you’ll want to seal them first before painting them so that the paint doesn’t hurt the surface. This is important because you don’t want to devalue your counters by damaging the original surface; even if you don’t like the color now, you or a new homeowner may want to remove the paint someday and return them to their original color. You can also cover them with

Common causes include impact, heat, and improper cleaning agents. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.
