Seeking an energy-saving window and door solution, they found a series of poor contractors and a need for an improved service that customers can rely on. "Workers did everything wrong--other people were sent back to fix it..they did not know what they were doing so they had temper tantrums in my home--walked off and did not finish the job. The work that was done was up and down--a few things were good and a few things were so, so bad. They did things like cut drywall and let all the pieces and garbage fall behind the stove--and then just left it all. They made mistake after mistake--and I was being charged by the hour for them to make the mistakes and then repair what they messed up and start over. I went over things clearly with a foreman, and then the workers would show up without the proper supplies. I was charged a high rate by the hour as they drove to the store to buy supplies. They would schedule with me and cancel and then schedule again and show up four hours late."

"Santa Cruz Construction & Remodeling was hired to remodel a walk in pantry for us. during our consultation they made some recommendations we hadn't considered before, and offered to design a CAD drawing to better illustrate the project before we ever moved into any physical on site work. this worked very well for us because it allowed us to visually see how it would turn out. once we agreed on a revision they began searching for the cabinets we would need to fill our pantry, unfortunately lead times were excessive and didn't meet our needs for the timeframe we wanted this work completed.. Luckily, Erick had a backup option to build our custom cabinets in a fraction of the lead times available, locally at their woodshop; offering a variety of different wood species & color /finish options. we couldn't have been happier with the outcome and will be keeping them as our go-to contractors for all of our remodeling needs."

For your door to work and close properly, you’ll need to shim and level the door frame in your wall perfectly, which can be difficult.
