The owner agreed that the work would be done by a specified date, but it was only completed a month late after several phone calls.
The gate that was installed is excellent. For the fence, however, plastic plugs were used instead of metal ones on the hollow uprights that project above the top rail, and one of them has already broken off.
If you decide to use this company, make sure you get a complete description of the materials that will be used. Also, if you intend to use the Angie's list coupon, make sure the specified discount is shown on the initial estimate. I presented the coupon after the work was done and the owner refused to honor it, claiming it was already factored into the price.

We are delighted! Hector's fabricators arrived this afternoon, two days ahead of schedule. I was surprised (and unprepared!) and had to make a quick trip to the hardware store to buy the lock and lever. They installed the gate and hardware, caulked around the edges and blocked off an additional small space on the side to keep out marauding wildlife.They even painted the caulking to match. The gate is gorgeous! Hector's men are true artists - they took my amateur drawing and created a custom gate that is even better than we had imagined. $500 felt like a lot to pay when we started, but we really got our money's worth.

The result was beyond what I had hoped for and envisioned.  All work was done professionally and built to last.  All parties involved were skilled.  Delivery was delayed for a couple of weeks beyond the anticipated date.  I believe this was due to a heavy workload.

No hassle, no problems, no call backs, no mess, will use them for rest of project.

If you want genuine quality and a very reasonable price???..you cannot go wrong with Hector.  Hector is very easy to work with, he has a splendid eye for design, and does high quality workmanship.  I would rank him "finest of the fine" when it comes to ironworks and real security.  In a ranking of 1-10, with ten being the highest, I have no hesitation ranking Hector as an eleven.

Hector's work is beautiful, it was done promptly, and they left no mess in the yard. We had a misunderstanding about the number of gates to be done, but it was resolved quickly. We are extremely happy with the result. When we decide to splurge on a decorative door screen, we will definitely call Hector again.

All work done well. Schedule slipped a few times, partly my fault. We accommodated each others delays, and the job was done well.

Mr Corrales arrived as scheduled to give me an estimated.  The price was fair for the amount of work required.  Mr Corrales was able to schedule the work at a very good time for me.  His people showed up and completed the work in a professional manner and left the areas they worked in clean.  Hector's Ornaments is a very well run organization, I highly recommend their services to fellow Angie's List users.

Our HOA rules state that all metal screen doors must be exactly alike.  Hector's Ornamental Iron Service installed the ironwork screen doors and gates for the original builder of our town-home complex several years ago.  We moved into a unit without a front screen door and our HOA recommended that Hector Corrales make one for us so it would be a perfect match.
We met Mr. Corrales and he came right up to give us an estimate.  He took careful measurements and advised us that we would need a frame built for the doorway to hold the gate.  He also said he would install handle and locks (that we would buy ourselves) for no extra charge.  He was very easy to work with and stated his prices clearly.  
The gate was finished sooner than we had even expected and the installation was done in less than an hour.  Very pleasant crew and they left the job site clean.  The gate is super sturdy and looks very nice.  Of course, we would have had a different design done if it was allowed but we are very happy with Hector's Ornamental Iron Service.

Hector came out same day I first called him, to give me an estimate.  He is a very nice man. Once I confirmed I wanted them to do the job, they came out again to take some exact measurements.  The next time they came, they installed almost all of the enclosure except for the section above the upper wood beam.  I asked about that section, as Hector had told me it would be a total enclosure and I also asked about the replacement of the bedrooms wrought iron window openers.  Hector said they had been unable to buy the sections that go above the wood beam, as they usually buy those, but they no longer sold them.  He said he would make the sections out of wood and install them.  He also said they would replace the bedroom wrought iron window openers when they returned because they did not have the rods they needed with them at the time. 
When they returned, they installed the sections above the wood beam and I noticed they had made them out of the perforated metal screen instead of wood, so they matched the rest of the work.  That was vey nice.  They also replaced the bedroom wrought iron window openers.  They also painted the white caulking to match the wrought iron and that was very nice.
The job is now complete and it came out very nice, we are very happy with it. 
We would use them again, if we ever need more wrought iron.

He installed to mesh with a mountain effect to make it look nice.  I thought his price was a little high.

He was very straightforward and he delivered what he promised.  He and his crew were very pleasant to work with and professional. I will try to upload some photos of the work but I don't see on this page where to upload them, perhaps it must be posted first. 
 We have already contracted him to work on a decorative/privacy/noise reducing fence in the front yard.  We came to him with an idea and he helped us to make it better.  He is creative. I will write that review when the job is completed.

We called Hector's Ornamental Iron to quote on the construction of 50 feet of steel deck railing for a wooden deck we were renovating.  Hector Corrales, the owner, came to our house as promised a couple of days after the initial call and arrived at the promised  time.  We discussed our needs and desires and Hector showed us numerous photos of options to consider from previous jobs and  lead us through the selection making sure we were following all required building codes.  After selecting the style and size of the railing we wanted,  Hector quoted a very fair and reasonable price and told us his lead time was currently about 3 weeks.  We told him his price was fine but we needed the work completed prior to the suggested 3 weeks.  He agreed with the earlier completion date we suggested and gave us a written quote which we accepted and gave him a 50% deposit.  As a next step Hector said he would come back  the following week with his shop fabricator to review the work and take final measurements for fabrication.  Hector and his fabricator came back when promised, calling to confirm prior their arrival time.  Measurements and details of the job were  documented and then we asked Hector to quote on two additional decorative steel gates for the front entrance to our home..  We again selected a design with Hectors suggestions and Hector quoted a competitive price and said he would give us an additional discount since we were already doing business with him.  His price was again very competitive and we gave him an additional deposit on the new work.  We did not expect delivery to be at the same time as the railing but Hector said they would make it happen at the e same time.  The day before the promised installation Hector called to confirm his crew would be there the following morning.  A three man installation crew arrived on time and immediately got to work.  Installation took a total of roughly 4 hours.  The only problems encounter with the the job were a couple of fabrication mistakes requiring filed modification by the installation crew which was done to our satisfaction.  The crew was very committed to doing a good job and making sure we were satisfied.  Hector also called during the installation to ask how everything was going and said he would  come out if we wanted him to.  We declined his offer and told him was doing fine.  Installation was completed and the crew cleaned up the job site.  The crew documented the completed job with a few photos and was obviously happy and proud of their work.  I have two more gates that need to be fabricated and told the crew i would be calling Hector back to quote on the additional work and would see them soon.

The workmanship is great. I would recommend Hector and his crew.

He gave us a great price. He is knowledgeable, responsive, and gives good advice. There were many designs to choose from and the quality of the work is great! Absolutely no complaints.

Hector came out, looked over what we wanted, and gave us the estimate on the spot.  He was very clear about what he could and couldn't promise.  After receiving other bids, we felt that Hector's approach made us feel confident about placing the order with him.  He came back to show us designs we might like, and after settling on what we wanted, he committed to a delivery date subject to weather.  He was prompt in delivering the product, and very apologetic when it turned out that a piece of the order was on nackorder from a supplier.  He returned with the missing piece two days later.  We were very pleased with the result, and in how Hector dealt with us.  We would definitely recommend him.

He was very personable and very helpful. They did a really nice job. My only complaint was he did not give me a written receipt. I went ahead and I wrote out one because his workers came out, he didn’t. I had the workers sign it. The work was nice. They didn’t leave a mess so I have no complaints about the work. I didn’t get the receipt and I think that is important. They are the only ones who showed up to give me an estimate. 

They did the job promptly and professionally.  It was a small job but I would use them again for larger projects.

Hector was very professional.  He was the only one of 3 candidates who showed up with a picture catalog of finished projects. I removed the old fence and Hectors group installed a new square channel metal frame complete with walk and drive thru gates.  Initially we had a miscommunication on the location of the drive gate, but to his credit he had his crew relocate it to the correct location.  His instructions were "make it right, do what the customer wants.".  His crew was also great.  They showed up when the said,  cleaned up after themselves and kept me informed on the status of the project.

I WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN.....
