"Well, it started off not so great. We noticed that there was no ice and no water working in the refrigerator. We have been diligent about keeping filters changed and lines clean, so I called Sears. When I purchased the refrigerator several years ago, I spent several hundred dollars for a long term all inclusive warranty. However, on the phone, Sears could not find the warranty OR the purchase info. We spent about 45 minutes, most of it with them trying to either sell me a warranty, or telling me how much it would cost. I hung up, called back the next day with all the receipts and the warranty, info, and they STILL could not find it. I managed to get a supervisor who told me that the sales clerk had entered the wrong phone number. They arranged to send someone out that week He discovered a broken plastic piece in the filter housing, removed it, showed me that it worked, no charge, and left. The next morning it quit working again. SO I hate to wait another 2 days for a different tech to arrive, who looked at it and said that the housing for the filter would need to be replaced. Since he does not carry that part, he had to order it. When it arrived UPS a week later, I called and they sent someone else. The third guy installed it, and it STILL did not work. SO he does something that the others did not do, pulled the refrigerator out and opened the back. Proceeded to tell me that it was a plumbing problem, not a refrigerator problem and that I would need to hire a plumber to replace and rework the connection valves. I showed him that it WAS in fact working after the first guy, so it was not a plumbing problem, plus we tested the pipe and it worked fine. SO he spends half an hour fiddling around with the circuit boards, gets it working, no charge but no explanation of what he did. At least it works, from the first phone call only took about 3 weeks to get it solved. Needless to say, I had pretty much quit buying anything else from Sears and this will be the last appliance I get there as well.
