- Voss TV Appliance & BeddingBought a floor model Kitchen Aid wine/beverage cooler two years ago from Voss. It was missing a shelf but Voss promised to have it sent in the mail. I’ve called to complain several times, but no shelf ever arrived. I like to support local business but this is not acceptable. I spent a lot of money on a wine cooler and assumed Voss would make good on its promise to provide the missing shelf. I have a file of all the times I’ve called to be told the shelf is in the mail…already ordered. Nothing ever arrived. Over the years we have bought a range, dishwashers, microwaves, range hood, etc from Voss. They’ve been our go to local appliance business. They will be no longer. Won’t be returning to Voss
- DON'S APPLIANCESBought a floor model refrigerator Had them deliver and install on a Friday It never got cold….we went away for weekend after putting contents of previous frig into it…..all the food was spooked when we got home Took Dons 2 days to send out someone to look at it…. They concluded “oh…it’s a dud” Now we wait another 2 days to get a new one and they refuse to reimburse us for the spoiled food or do anything helpful 4 days without a refrigerator All they will give us is $80 which was cost of installation The value of the contents were much more than $8
- LOWE'SCan you believe it? I purchased a dishwasher from Homestead Lowes three weeks ago and they totally ditched me without any phone call or even a text message on the scheduled installation date. I waited and waited, but no one showed up. And to make matters worse, when I tried to contact them, no one had a clue where my order was or what happened to the installer! It's been a whole week, and I still haven't received any answers. This is absolutely unacceptable and the worst service I have ever received. I highly recommend that you stay away from them
- DON'S APPLIANCESIf I could give them a 0 I would. I bought a Samsung washer and dryer last April from Don's, and I bought the 5 year extended warranty with them. Almost 2 months ago, my washer started leaking water and would shake out of control. After 3 weeks, a service tech finally came out and found broken pieces and a large hole in the tub, to no fault of my own. He deemed it junk and spoke with Samsung to authorize a replacement. I called several times to schedule the exchange but no one would call me back. My fiance finally got hold of one of the manager's extensions, and it took him calling over and over again for him to finally answer. Instead of an exchange for the exact same washer, that was only a year old, they only credited the sale amount that I initially paid, which wasn't even enough to get the same washer. I had to spend $360 more on a new washer, to be able to get something similar to what I had, and had to buy yet another extended warranty. They delivered the washer today and there is a huge dent in the very front & they scratched up the sides getting it inside the house. We've tried calling several times but again, no one will answer and no one has called back. I only accepted delivery of it because I've already been without a washing machine for over 6 weeks now
- Tri County KitchensThe kitchen in my 110+ year old house was small and difficult, with multiple doors and windows below countertop height. I went with Tri County Kitchens as they specialize in difficult kitchens. Todd (the owner) worked with me as I didn't want to change wide woodwork or expand the space. He came up with a very usable design. His installation crew was prompt, polite and very meticulous. There was a brief delay in finishing due to the pandemic, but that could not be helped. I am very pleased with my new kitchen. Highly recommended
- Tri County KitchensI was so pleased with the installation. The workers (Matt and Brandon) were prompt and friendly and cleaned up at the end. The work was done in less than 3 days except for the backsplash. A week after installation was completed, I had a major plumbing problem not associated with the installation. My plumber had to cut a hole in the back wall under the sink to replace a leaking pipe. Matt made a piece to fit in the back to cover the hole. They went above and beyond

I've always found him to be responsive, his work is done properly, and his products are great. Take the time to listen to his recommendations; he didn't try to "upsell" me, but instead clearly wanted me to know the difference between options beyond just price. He would definitely be the first place I'd call for kitchen or bath work
- Tri County KitchensPrice: B+ Not our cheapest estimate but their reputation was worth the extra money. They also knocked off $500 to be more competitive, which was appreciated. The value for the price absolutely ended up being there. We did elect to use another company for the granite counters as Tri County couldn't compete on the price (which was a special deal, though they were about $500-$1000 more than our average granite bid). Quality: A- Jim and his crew did great work. There were a few areas that needed touched up but afterwards everything looks very good. Responsiveness: A+ Jim and Jeff both were very responsive to our questions and inquiries. Their hours are very conducive as they're open to 9pm some days of the week. Punctuality: B+ Jim and his crew were a bit late arriving but they showed up early on the final day to assure they were out ASAP so we didn't have to work from home any longer than needed. Jeff was very punctual when he came to the house for scoping the project. Professionalism: A+ Absolutely great service throughout. Our project manager (Jeff) and installer (Jim) were both a pleasure to work with. Jeff was extremely meticulous on planning every detail, which provided a lot of comfort. We would (and have!) absolutely recommend Tri County

"Patrick Shields, who owns the business, did a great job fixing our dryer. We called Patrick when our dryer broke down. I noticed that the belt needed to be replaced, but I knew the job was a little too much for me to handle myself. So I called Patrick and he was prompt in his response. He came out a day or two later, and had the dryer belt replaced in a matter of an hour. I also appreciated how he talked through some other common issues that could have occurred in our dryer and provided good transparency on the fix. Overall, he was great and I would certainly hire again in the future.

"I had trouble with the people in the windows department. I'm getting a garage door and the price that was listed on the item in the isle wasn't what they told me. So instead of my garage door costing me $400 it costed me $1000. So I was really upset so I'll never buy another door or window from Lowe's. I like the establishment but I had a bad time with the manager of the window department. The person who installed my garage door was excellent however. It costed me $1000 because of the way they had to remove the door.

"Don's has a number of outlets. Kayla Benton, at the Baum Avenue store, helped us with the purchase and was efficient and very easy to work with. Everything went smoothly from there out with one exception (more about that in a second). The installation was prompt and professional. All would have been perfect if Samsung hadn't shipped a brand new range that had apparently been dropped and was damaged in several places. I called Kayla and she immediately contacted Matt Erfley, the customer service manager with Don's Appliances. To put it mildly Matt is absolutely terrific. Don's Appliances is lucky to have him. Matt referred the problem to Samsung; but initially Samsung's service people declined responsibility claiming that the new range wasn't under warranty (!). When we got that cleared up (which took awhile) Samsung declined to cover the repair because damage (apparently even damage that preexists delivery) isn't covered under the warranty. Through three months of back and forth with Samsung (thank heavens the range was usable so we didn't have to eat out every night), Matt Erfley hung in there, contacting Samsung, contacting his Samsung sales rep, and keeping us in the loop the entire time. Could the damaged pieces be replaced....well, apparently not; how was Samsung going to rectify this? The answer is that after numerous phones calls and emails between Matt and various folks at Samsung, he managed to get Samsung to do what they should have done in the first place, viz, replace the range with a brand new one with no charge to us. Don's delivered and installed it and it is lovely.
<br /> We would unhesitatingly use Don's Appliances again. They stand by their customers.
