He repaired two joints on a family heirloom dining table, first carefully examining the problems, then set about repairing them. Mr Jones not only repaired the table, but used both glue and screws to make it nearly impossible to break again. He showed me the work he did at two joints, explained how he approached it, and offered me the opportunity to look at his work and identify any additional steps I would like to have done. There was no more work needed. As an industrial engineer and business attorney for forty years, I’ve seen some terrible work and also some excellent craftsmen, Mr. Jones is a true craftsman. Because I took possession of the table as a gift of this beautiful antique dining table from my grandmother, I didn’t know much about the table and I’m busy and didn’t take the time to look closely at the table; we just used it as a place for a meal. Mr. Jones surprised me when he pointed out the extensions that were in the table top, and he demonstrated the best and safest way to extend this six-foot long table two more feet in each direction! This was so helpful because we are expecting family during the holidays, and had planned to supplement the table with a card table. Because Mr. Jones took the initiative to explain the hidden features, our table can now seat four additional people, and the card table can stay in the closet! Mr. Jones cleaned the work area, and left for his next client, reminding me that I can call him anytime. I will be using his services again! - First Coast Home ProsIf you find them via Angie's List, they give you a discount for forever. They offered to completely redo my kitchen table, and they are picking it up next week. They are refinishing it at their own cost. I'm using them on a weekly basis. Very well. Bill is easy to work with, and is quick to understand and discuss the problem. The finished product is not the highest quality we could possibly get (the colors are good, but there are little specs of material in the finish that probably ought not be there, so it's not as smooth as it could be)....but... the price was half that of the next highest quote. We got 3 quotes, $700, 600, and Bill's $275 (we gave him an even $300)... and he did it over xmas week for us so we could use it for visitors the following week. We'd hire him again. Update as of March 2011: Josh called me to see how the table was after ~a year. I told him it was okay, liveable, but not great looking because of the specs. He said they'd updated and improved their process and would like the opportunity to pick the table up, refinish it again a new way, and return it re-assembled - for free. I agreed, they picked it up as scheduled and returned it - still a tough project due to the finish and coloration of this particular set - looked great. Had a (tough to describe) 'hazy sheen?' on the top layer of finish, but with multiple rubbings (lots of elbow grease), it seems to have worked out and now looks like a new table again. Thanks guys, great job

Mike was amazing. He came out 2 times and... Before the 2nd time on 5/6/23 he thought of an amazing way to fix the rooms to go recliner sofa. The 2nd small footrest that tucks under the couch on a cindy crawford sofa got stuck in down position, Both chairs on sofa. Really bad design since both went bad at the same time 3 years in. I and Mike Recommend don't buy Rooms to Go!!
The more amazing thing Mike spent all that time and left me a drill set if I had to do more work later to fix the sofa recliners....FOR FREE.
Only bad thing is that he got slightly mad in a text when we told him angi's could not find his company and we did not have his full name of his company. I understand since he did everything for free but it was angi's fault and should have taking it out on them. It took 4 days to get this review submitted.
