"Smart Level Concrete leveled my driveway, sidewalk and steps a year ago. But when a small crack appeared in my drive and seemed to get worse, a representative came and promptly filled the crack. No questions asked and at no cost. I give Nancy who handled my call and Dâ  Andre who did the repair high marks for their customer service. Good people. Good company. Good warranty."

"Very smooth install. Ed was nice, personable, and timely. He installed the solar lights efficiently and correctly. And they function perfectly. Fee was very reasonable as well. He’s agreed to install similar lights next weekend at our daughter’s home located about 10 minutes away. We’re in the market for a new handyman, so would not hesitate to contact Ed again. Thank you."

"Tim and his father did a great job replacing a couple squares of sidewalk at our home that were done improperly by a different contractor. They got me an estimate and fit me in their schedule quickly, all while doing the work the right way at a fair cost. I would definitely ask them to do additional work in the future and recommend them if you need concrete or masonry work as well. They are also licensed in Columbus and insured. Before hiring any vendor to do work at your home, I highly recommend you verify both of those things. I came across a number of other concrete vendors who did not have either or both of those documents and some were less than forthcoming about it."

"Called Ron Diersing on Wednesday. Appt. was made to inspect the site the following Saturday. Saturday at appointed time Ron arrived, looked over the job and quoted a price. The price quoted was reasonable by any standard, and included 10% Angies List discount, which Ron told me about. Job was scheduled for the following Wednesday. Following Wednesday, Ron and his crew arrived on time, and began work. The old driveway was broken up and trucked away. Base and forms set, concrete poured and finished. A six-foot section of walkway to the house was included at no extra cost, and finished to match the rest. I am no stranger to construction, having worked for a builder, and having done many small projects of my own, and for friends, neighbors, etc. Ron and his crew are obvious professionals. both in job skills, and demeanor. They work as an experienced team, and very well. They worked quickly and efficiently. I can not think of anything to complain about. These guys are first-class in my book."

"Royal Concrete Construction is amazing! The crew did a wonderful job giving our backyard a much-needed makeover. Right from the beginning, with an estimate that was sharp and competitive, this company outdid itself. Without hesitation, Jon came back to review some details so I felt confident with the plans to go forward. His crews arrived on the day promised and were very professional, working steadily, keeping the yard as neat as possible, cleaning up at the end of each day. The crew foremen were considerate and open to a few interim alterations and came up with an amazing alternative for improving a step and surrounding sidewalk. A work of art! We were “transformed” in the time promised and we have been enjoying our new digs immensely. Neighbors are asking who performed the work and we are proud to say: Royal Concrete Construction!!"

Concrete Leveling FAQs

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

The average cost of mudjacking is around $5 per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8 per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.

In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.
