Korinna changed my life. I have always had strong emotional connections to items, ever since I was a kid. When I look at an article of clothing, I remember when I bought it, who I was at the time, who I spent time with and where I went when I wore it. My mom, sister, and I are all the same size so there’s been a revolving closet for years. After growing up in my family’s home and accumulating more clothing, trinkets, gifts, art, and papers than any one person should own, i felt overwhelmed, stuck, and unable to focus, relax, or even get ready without stress since I couldn’t find things. I reached my limit when I moved back home for 2 months before moving to NYC. My room was full of everything from my childhood, everything from college, AND everything from my own apartment I’d been living in after college. My mom had been trying to help me organize while I organized her space since working through my own stuff was paralyzing. I soon realized that the burden I was placing on her was unfair and that this was beyond both of our hands. I felt a sense of impending doom about how I was going to consolidate everything for the big move out of state. I looked online for professional organizers and interviewed a few. I immediately knew that Korinna was the one. When I showed her my room on FaceTime, she was so nonjudgmental and excited about the project that I felt hope. I knew she was the one when I told her that I had some trouble parting with clothes I’d outgrown, in case I lost weight and wanted to wear them again. She explained that she’s happy to coach me through these feelings and noted that thinking about how poorly/tightly something fit the last time I wore it was even more of a reason to part with items I had negative associations with. If I lost weight and needed new clothes, I’d be excited to buy new ones. In the first session alone, Korinna made me feel so supported, comfortable, and motivated. She worked methodically in a paced way that didn’t feel like a stressful race. She explained her ideas about clearing things out and redirected me when I got overwhelmed or wanted to avoid a certain pile of once beloved items. She has the incredible organizational skills and knowledge about which systems work all while having the kind spirit of a friend. I tried on hundreds of outfits and she gave honest answers about whether something was flattering or making me happy. She guided me through separating things into color coded bags: donate, sell, bring to tailor, ask family member if they want it. I was amazed when Korinna then took every single bag with her and brought bags to donation centers and the dump. It was such a relief to be completely done with everything at the end of each session. Korinna helped me not only organize my closet and room in my family’s house but she helped me design an customized organizational system to use going forward that worked for my lifestyle, belongings, and space. She then helped me label and pack up EVERYTHING for my big move to NYC. When I arrived in New York, I unpacked EVERYTHING in record time because everything had a place. Everything still has a place and I’ve remained organized ever since. Korinna not only changed the way I manage my things but she changed the way I think about my space, clutter, putting things away, and taking pride in maintenance. She saved me from family conflict and made the entire process calm, fun, and inspiring. After seeing the incredible work Korinna did and the trusting environment she fostered, my mom is going to work with her soon too! I couldn’t recommend her enough

I am very pleased with the work that Stroker delivered. Before starting this project, it was important to me to find someone who had a lot of experience in finish carpentry but also had an eye for design. Stroker also has completed projects in homes similar to mine in the Back Bay which also gave me a sense he knows the level of fit and finish required for homes in that area. Working with Stroker was excellent. He was very prompt in communication and adhered to agreed upon schedules within reason (supply chain being what it is today will always yield surprises). Stroker also has a high level attention to detail. Even before the project planning started, he went to great lengths to make sure the materials would fit through the hallways and into my unit. This is often overlooked when starting a project inside your home because if it's skipped and there's a problem, it causes unforeseen delays that are more costly. Stroker also left the job site clean and was respectful of my home during the time he was working here. That's not always a given when working with contractors. Finally, I was also taken aback when I got the final invoice. Keeping with attention to detail, every dollar invoiced was accounted for with a receipt and detailed work log justifying the expense. This is rare. I'm more than comfortable recommending him to friends (and have done so already) and I would certainly use him again in the future

Since I am a single mom to a toddler boy, working full time and going to school, clutter builds up quickly in my apartment. The last thing I want to do is organize.
