After five months, the company confessed that they made an error in their internal order to the factory; this was after I had been calling the company every 2 weeks for the previous three months; they offered me the 'choice' of waiting while they re-initiate the internal order or of canceling my order. I chose to cancel. It took me another 2 months of continuous calling to get my advance refunded. Over the months I had to explain my situation again and again to new persons, with really no results; sometimes, threatening to go up the chain, and persistently asking for the owner, helped, by the time I received my refund, I felt I had been though an endurance test

We found Riverside Painting on Angie’s list and contacted them to provide a quote to rebuild our deck. Gerado came out promptly and provided an email quote for the deck using composite materials. He also brought out samples for us to choose the color. Once we decided to build, the crew was able to demolish and rebuild our deck and stairs in two days. We were happy with the construction and the crew. There was an outstanding issue getting some brickwork fixed but when it was done it looked good.
During the build, we discussed the crew coming back out in a month to stain the deck and received a verbal quote. The following week we received a text saying a crew was coming out to stain the deck. We said no we wanted to wait several more weeks to ensure the wood was ready and had to send the crew away.
When the crew came out to stain, they did a good job but put on one coat and it was thin in spots. We contacted Gerado and he came back out and agreed to send the crew to add another coat to the deck.
We requested an invoice for the build at least 5 times through texts, emails and verbal communication. We also requested an invoice for the staining. We finally received a two line invoice for build and stain with no specifics on labor, size, material used or work completed.
We were happy with the crew that built the deck and the construction is solid but communication was the problem. All that said, I would recommend Riverside painting to use for construction.

"<p>It went well. Raul Oliveros arrived by 7:30am. Started working by 8:30am, apparently after going to Home Depot to get supplies. The repairs were complete in about five (5) hours. Although he did a good job, there were a couple of things I did not like. The first thing is the cigarette smoke. This handyman smokes. I hate the smell of cigarette. This is one reason I would have second thoughts about calling him again. I also did not like the different pricing based on paying by check or by cash. By different, I mean that he charged tax, if you write a check. To me, the price is the price, whether paying by check or by cash.</p>
<p>One more thing comes to mind that I missed on that day. I did not get the Home Depot receipt because he had other items on the receipt. For purposes like this, I think that the receipt should have only the items for this particular job. That way the customer does not inadvertently pay for items that will be used elsewhere.</p>
<p>In reference to the work itself, there have been a couple of hard rains in the past month. My fence has endured through it all. I guess that means the Punch Renovation did okay.</p>
<p>They promised that there is a lifetime guarantee on their work. I hope I do not need to find out whether or not that is true.</p>

"Excellent work, service, communication. There was an undetected water leak in a hidden place in the kitchen. This water had mildewed the floor board under the previous linoleum. This company found the problem and replaced the floorboard at no additional charge. The work was done quickly and cleaned up thoroughly. They moved the furniture and put everything back.
