When you speak with a roofing contractor, be prepared to explain the issue since it will directly impact your project costs and timeline. For example, patching a hole might only cost $100 to $1,000, but repairing roof hail damage costs up to $7,500.

If you’re replacing a section of your roof, you’ll want to choose the same type of shingles that you currently have.
