Reviews of Local Shower Repair Companies
Bath & Kitchen Showroom
They did a big jog (about $20,000) 19 ! years ago. All went very well. One month ago part of the shower mixing faucet broke down. Part not available, discontinued. They went out of their way to find the needed part and fix the shower mixer (hot and cold water) that they installed 19 years ago. I consider it a great service and a company that stands behind the products they install.

It went great! They answered the phone right away and we're able to come out to my house within hours of my call, truly a lifesaver!

Uneeda Plumbing Bath Remodeling LLC
I was hoping to replace the shower faucets. They are the older two handle type, one for ?hot? and one for ?cold.? They are the economy models. Some of the threads are worn and some of the plastic covers are cracked. I have to replace the washers about once or twice a year. The last time, I did not ?seat? them correctly, and we go a leak into the wall. I was hoping to get a single handle ?washer less? model. The ?Uneeda? contractor was professional. He brought a trainee. They put on covers over their shoes. They explained all the work they would do with an estimate. To repair the existing faucet would be $250.00. To install a washer less single handle would be over $3000. The new faucet would be top of the line. I had them repair the existing faucet, which was no more than replacing the washers and properly seating them. They did not replace any hardware other than the rubber washers. This cost too much for the work that they did, even though it was very professional.

F.H. Furr Plumbing Heating AC & Electrical
FH Furr is always prompt. We filled out a service request online and received a call within minutes. They were able to send a technician out same day. The technician Mike was able to quickly diagnose and fix our leak. We’ve always been happy with FH Furr and would use their services again.

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Northern VA
I had number of repairs needed for my master bathroom. The first plumber I called was courteous and helpful but the outcome was "you need a bunch of parts, and you need to figure that out and order them". I ended up lost on Kohler's web site trying to find the right replacement parts for a couple of faucets. I gave up and decided to call another plumber. I contacted Mr. Rooter and they came out the next day. When Kevin arrived he started taking things apart and determine he had most of the replacement pieces I needed already on his truck! Instead of just a visit to quote repairs, Keven actually was able to complete most of the items I needed done on the initial visit. He was courteous, helpful, and explained what he was doing at every step. I'm definitely adding them to my list for callback if I ever need more plumbing assistance.

Mallick Plumbing & Heating
Tyler came out and took a look at what needed to be done. He advised me about buying my own shower head as it would be cheaper than if he got one for me. He came back out and completed the work very quickly. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. If I ever need any more plumbing work I would definitely request Tyler to come out for me. Thank you!

M E Flow Inc

Cardinal Plumbing Heating & Air Inc
I am writing a follow up review to say how terrific this company is! I had an issue with my shower and Mark, from Cardinal, came out to fix it. Unfortunately, the issue was not resolved. I called Cardinal back and Mark was out again within 24 hours (on a Saturday morning!) and my issue was resolved immediately. Thanks so much to Mark and his team for wonderful service! I will continue to recommend Cardinal to friends and family!

It went great. They waived a $59 service fee. And I was able to use my deal as a credit toward a second visit. He had to come out 2 visits to replace a cartridge on my shower. It was done properly, but it was way over cost. It is misleading that the $79 does not include an additional $59 service fee. It should be disclosed from the beginning. If I had not paid $59 for the first visit, I would have lost my coupon that was worth $200.

Haynes Plumbing LLC
A different plumber told us that to repair a leaking shower drain in our condo, he would have to remove the shower pan, which would have meant removing some tiles and thus re-doing the entire shower (since we do not have replacement tiles). Haynes got us on the schedule right away and fixed the problem without removing the shower pan. They worked in tight quarters (from a hole in the ceiling of the condo unit a floor below ours) and got the job done. We are very pleased and will use them again next time we need a plumber.

Foley Plumbing Inc
Had two showers down at the same time. One leaking, the other with no hot water. Terry and Patrick did the legwork to figure out what was installed and where to get replacements. In the end they replaced the cartridge in the leaker and cleaned up a broken shut-off valve for the hot-water side of the other shower.

PLUMB CRAZY INC
Excellent - service technician was great in explaining the work that was needed and did not pressure to do more than what was needed to fix the leak.
- Janette M.
Fine. Service tech arrived a few minutes behind schedule but called to keep me up to date. Tech diagnosed and quickly completed the job. The shower no longer leaks!

Wacker Plumbing Inc
It went well and quickly, as well as the prior appointment for fixing a leaking bathtub. I would recommended them!

Perfect. More than I was expecting they would do. Called them again for work on a clog. They did another perfect job.

Haynes Plumbing LLC
We used Haynes Plumbing twice for two different services. First we had them install a gas line for our newly bought townhouse which only had an electricity stove. The work went well. Their plumbers came out on time, and finished the job within several hours. We were happy with the new gas line. The second time when we called the company was to have them inspect our shower faucet that had a small water flow. The same plumbers came out, turned on the shower faucet, and decided that the problem was caused by the original cartridge in the shower faucet. They replaced it with a new one and caulked the shower plate cover. We thought the water flow problem was addressed, however, when we took a shower, we had almost the same amount of water coming out, and worse yet, water leaked through the wall to the furnace on the second level and the ceiling on the ground level. We called the company, John (i guess he is the owner) came to our house and fixed the problem. He took the same plumbers with him and showed them where they did wrong the previous day. John also refunded half of the invoice for the job. I was not happy about the water leakage, however, I was impressed with how the company handled the situation. I hope we won't have any plumbing issues for the house, but if we need plumbers in the future, we will give them a call again, but we will request John for any future services.

ARS / Rescue Rooter Manassas
This company is unreliable. They scheduled an appointment between 8 and noon, texted a reminder that they’d be coming, then failed to show up or even provide any notification. Don’t use them unless you like wasting your time.

JW Home Improvement
I had a bathtub which was leaking as well as shower where the tiles had come loose. I chose JW based on number of positive reviews and noticed that they got B's for price but A's for quality. I have to agree with this grade also. When they came to give an estimate, there was a $50 fee which is applied to the final cost. I decided to install a bathroom fan at the same time since they were coming out anyway. They sent out two men who were professional and very nice. They did a nice job installing the bathroom fan but could not fix the bathtub because the leak was under the bathtub and the workman felt that I needed to call a plumber. So, they left and I called a plumber to install a new drain and pipes below the bathtub. They had to cut open the cement board in order to access the tub. Afterwards, I had JW come back and patch the cement board and replace the tiles. They did a nice job with it. The reason the price is high is that you pay labor at an hourly rate ($200 per person) based on how long they are at your home. When they go get supplies, you pay for their time too. Since they sent out two guys for both days, I was paying two guys to fix a cement board and install tiles which really could have been done by one person in probably about the same amount of time. I am overall pleased with this company that was professional and gives you one year warranty of their work. I think I should have asked them to send only one person and I think it would have been better value in the end.

Jiffy Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
It was great. They came when I asked them to come. They showed up on time. The plumber was knowledgeable. He was done in less the time they had estimated.
- Eric K.
Horribly. They show up to "check" and is there less than 5 min. Kevin showed up with no tools and not even enter the bathroom to check. He just said parts needed to be ordered and to call to schedule an appointment and that he can easily fix the stop valve screw. He gave me the wrong company to call and I had to dig the phone number and all. When parts finally came, appointment was scheduled. He gave me a 8-12 window. I asked to call me about and hour to half hour before arrival because I live in an apt building and needed to coordinate with the building to shut off water. Very rude when you call, if they answer. I attempted calling a few times and at 11:30am said he might be there at 1:30pm (already 1.5 hour after the appointed time). I called again at 2pm and he just very rudely said he will call when he is headed there. He never showed up and never called. Very disappointed with American Home Shield for appointing this company. If you get them through AHS, call them immediately and have them assign someone else. I later saw reviews elsewhere and it seems that their business model is just that, show up the first time, schedule something next and never show up. I have complained with BBB, FTC, yelp, AHS.
