"Jim and his team did an excellent job on our house. They rebuilt our decks, oversaw a complete kitchen remodel, created a completely new bathroom in our master bedroom, renovated all of the bathrooms in the house and created cabinet doors and other finish carpentry in a manner that matched the existing wood and design. They were reliable, communicative, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I highly recommend their services for any type of new, remodel, or custom work you may have on your home."

"Wolf Creek Contracting did an excellent job from demolition to their on time completion. Communication was clear and prompt. There was one of the owners onsite daily. The crew was small, consistent and showed an excellent work ethic. The project started on time and ended on time as promised. Arrangements were made to store materials onsite and the workers were very considerate with any additional vehicles that were needed to be parked on site. I highly recommend this Wyoming based company and their expertise."

"Mike is an outstanding painter. His attention to detail was professional, and he made my home look new after previous renters did a great deal of damage. Mike kept me informed every step of the way. He ensured he did quality work, was on time, and performed his job with an outstanding level of precision. His costs were affordable, and he went above and beyond what he stated he would do on the original quote. I would recommend Mike for any painting job they need to be done!!"

"Jaco did a great job! He was very willing to work with me and my “unusual” ideas for my kitchen remodel. He worked hard to make my kitchen what I wanted it to be and I really appreciated he didn’t just blow off my ideas because they were harder to implement. He did high quality work and I would hire him again."

Barndominium Builders FAQs, answered by experts

Skid foundations, deck block foundations, and concrete block foundations are the most affordable shed foundation options. Of these, we recommend deck blocks. Deck blocks are easy to install and level, and they raise your shed up off the ground to prevent rotting from exposure to water and moisture. Keep in mind that deck blocks won’t resist soil movement or frost heave, so they’re not ideal in areas with expansive soil or a deep frost line.

Technically, most states allow tiny homes, but it depends on the definition of tiny and whether the structure is permanent. Zoning laws regarding home size and construction are significant factors. For instance, a tiny home may be legal as a recreational vehicle in most areas, but you may only install it on a property if it complies with building and zoning codes.

The difference between a pole barn and a stick-built barn is in the construction. Large poles in the ground provide support for pole barns. For stick-built barns, 2-by-4 or 2-by-6 lumber (known as sticks) create a frame around load-bearing beams. Stick-built construction is far more popular for residential homes. Pole barns are more cost-effective because they require fewer materials and less labor.

Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.

Building a treehouse can vary in difficulty depending on factors such as design complexity, size, and the builder’s woodworking experience. Basic treehouses with simple designs can be manageable for DIYers with some carpentry skills, while more elaborate structures may pose challenges. Adequate planning, research, and careful execution can make the process more manageable, and resources like premade plans or professional assistance are always available for additional support.
