After a large hailstorm a number of companies descended on Laramie to replace roofs. I chose Laramie Valley because they were one of the few local ones doing the work and saying they could. I specified that additional water barrier had to be installed in north-facing valleys and also requested 50 year shingles. This was agreed to in the bid estimate. They then did the roof a few weeks later. The following winter we had major leaks - from the valleys and ice dams - the reason for the requested additional water barrier. I called to complain and inspection in the attic suggested the additional water barrier was not installed. First Laramie Valley claimed they had no such request for additional water barrier and then claimed to have installed it anyway when I produced the bid. They refused to remove the roof and repair it unless I paid extra. My insurance company allowed me to go to a new company as I did not want to contract with a company that had done a poor job to begin with. The insurance company also indicated they had trouble with this company from other jobs. When the roof was removed it showed no additional water barrier was installed and the roof did not have 50 year shingles. I paid for the new roof deductible and was very happy with the new contractor who replaced the shingles and added the water barrier. It is too bad such an unscrupulous company operates this way, taking advantage of people who try to do local companies a favor and also giving the industry a bad name. My advice would be to avoid this company. They clearly demonstrated that they are not to be trusted.

We have used Jones Auto ever since it opened for business, even when it was located on 3rd Street as part of the Exxon Station near I-80. It services a wide array of car brands. The owner, Tracy Jones, is very honest. Obviously, this is a highly desirable trait in the auto repair business, and one that can be hard to assess without a long history of business with a particular repair shop. So for any newcomers to Laramie, I'd highly recommend that you try Jones' Auto Shop."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wy/laramie/jones%27-auto-svc-and-tire-ctr-reviews-5334418.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Dr. Shower Door & Mirror LLC","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"WY","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"ROBIN C."},"reviewBody":"It went great. We had been having a lot of trouble with our shower door being hard to open and close in the wintertime because the ground would heave slightly, making the wall shift and the shower door get tighter. Turns out the door had been too big originally, and the previous installer cut it down to fit without leaving room for movement. After years of struggling with the door, it started to come apart. Bill Smith from Dr. Shower Door came out and assessed the problem. It would be an easy fix, he said. He had the door we wanted in stock, so he removed our damaged door and hauled it away. A couple of days later he returned with the new door and installed it. Now, instead of a fully framed fiberglass door, we have a semiframeless glass door with a C-pull handle which looks much more elegant and opens and closes with ease. Now it's winter again and we've not had any trouble with our new door."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/in/indianapolis/dr-shower-door-and-mirror-llc-reviews-2327701.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Arrow Fence Co LLC","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"WY","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Georgia G."},"reviewBody":"Arrow did an excellent job in every way. They were easy to work with, contributed to our design with practical and good ideas, communicated with us, always showed up as promised and kept their work area neat. They repaired pasture fences with 3 horses inside, and kept the animals contained and treated the animals properly. The ground is quite rocky and they had to carefully install wood and steel posts. Fence lines are straight, pole tops are level and wires are pulled tight. They took care to match the barn roofing tin with the old barn roof. We caught the company at a busy time, as we were delayed getting a couple large trees removed first, and it looked like we were going to be waiting more than a few weeks, but they managed to get there way earlier than I expected and only needed a day to excavate and remove the old sidewalk...

FAQs for animal removal projects in Basin, WY
DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.
Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
Pest control is not the same as animal removal. Pest control specialists treat for insects and bugs, often by using chemicals. Animal removal specialists try to avoid chemicals if possible and instead work to trap and move the animal that's causing problems.
Since each expert has their own removal methods, it's best to contact a pest control professional for insects and bugs and an animal control specialist for other animals.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.
Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
