If you are looking to have black streaking removed from your roof, know that do not pressure wash roofs, I soft wash them. This is basically spraying an oxygen rich solution onto the streaked area, then letting that sit for about 20 minutes. At that point the solution has killed a lot of the algae and fungi that is feeding on the limestone that is in the shingles of your roof. Lastly, I apply a hot water soft wash or rinse to remove all solution on roof, and your shingles are clean again as if new for a long time. No granular loss to your shingles when you clean a roof properly as I do. Many years of experience is vital to do this safely, and clean without granular loss. The hot water rinse is vital in order to kill any living algae or fungi that survived the solution applied earlier.
