"Your vision of the project becomes his passion. Always explaining his next move on the project. He is very detailed oriented. We recently had two retaining walls completed and couldn't be happier. I will now move forward with "his" vision of my passion of flowers for my yard! ~ Becky Retherford"

"GF did nice work installing my new gutters. I didn't have to wait long  after measurements were taken to have my gutters installed because they had my color in stock. However, the installation team showed up without calling to confirm. Luckily, I have the summers off and was home, so it wasn't a problem."

"So honestly it is too early to answer any of these questions honestly. They were the only company out of 5 others that listened to my instructions, designed a plan and delivered it. Two had no communication, 2 drew up plans that had little to nothing I asked for, and this one listened to everything, took notes and had all the features I asked for. Now we will see what the delivery is like. Look most of the companies in this area do not follow through and make promises then don't keep them. In almost 15 years I've only found a handful worth their salt! I don't think it is much to ask to communicate, follow-through and listen. If you do that you're basically in the top ten of hudson businesses!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

A prefab sunroom will last for between 10 and 20 years in most cases, although you could get up to 50 years out of a high-quality prefab sunroom. In addition to material quality, your prefab sunroom’s lifespan will depend on the foundation type and the climate in your area. Extreme weather and expansive soil can decrease the expected life.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.

Whether a prefab sunroom is worth it will depend on each homeowner’s unique needs and preferences. Overall, prefab sunrooms are a wallet-friendly, speedy, and reliable option for individuals looking to get some vitamin D in a simply-designed yet sunny space. Not to mention, sunrooms can increase your home’s value and the enjoyment you feel at home.
