"Most of the employees were conscientious Work lasted about a week and was the installation of a waterproofing system in my interior basement. The cement over the drain is very uneven with the existing flooring in much of the area. No way could carpet be used after this. Anyone contemplating this same kind of work should specify floor must be level and ask to see actual material covering the walls, not just pictures to avoid surprises. Clearly much of my disappointment would have been avoided if I had been more fastidious in my specifications and investigations."

I initially had a poor interaction with Mike that did not result in solving the above plumbing problem above. However, he has since connected with me and resolved the issue fairly.  He did an excellent job the first time I hired him (successfully unclogging a tub drain). Even though the second time we hired him was not successful (and we had to hire a second plumber to resolve the problem) we will use him in the future because he reached out to resolve our concerns in a professional manner.

"Rich came to give us a quote the same day we called. He told us what items could be cleaned and saved and what had to be disposed of. He took the time and explained everything thoroughly. The next morning his crew came on time and got right to work. Rich and the guys did a great job cleaning our basement. You would never know their was ever sewage in our basement. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
