"Soppa's Painting did a great job painting several interior rooms. Without asking, they improved the caulking in the bathrooms and fixed a recessed light fixture in the kitchen. My family said the the painting turned out really well and everything looks bright and clean. We love the accent wall in the foyer! They were reasonably priced and a pleasure to have in our home. Thank you!"

"If you want something done, and done well, Will and Ricky are the ones to hire! Arrived the day they said they would arrive. Got right to work and worked 100% until the jobs were completed. One of the jobs they completed for me was repair of a hole in a ceiling. The repair actually looked much better than it did before the damage had even occurred! Well worth the cost!"

"We had Peachy Clean detail our vehicles and clean our house multiple times. She has also done some interior painting for us as well. They are very professional and courteous to work with. I personally think she might charge on the lower side for the quality of work she does."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can technically use a pressure washer to remove paint from brick, but it comes with a significant risk of damaging the brick surface. A high-power pressure washer can be fast but may leave the brick looking unsightly. The recommended method is to first apply a chemical paint stripper, following the product's instructions, and then use a stiff metal bristle brush or a pressure washer on a low-pressure setting to remove the loosened paint. Due to the risk of damage, it is often best to hire a professional who can use low-stress methods.

You can remove powder coating with a chemical stripper, in a burn-off oven, or by sandblasting. Chemical strippers can remove most powder coatings in 20 minutes or less. But they are harsh and must be treated with care.

Paint removal is a time-consuming job that can take anywhere from an hour for small surfaces, like a single stair banister, to multiple days for larger projects, like removing paint from wood siding. Expect to spend between five and 20 minutes per square foot. You can use chemical paint strippers to speed up the process, but be sure you use proper protective gear and take care to pick a product that’s suited for your material.

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

You don’t necessarily have to remove all the old paint before repainting your deck, but it’s best to remove as much as possible to ensure a smooth and long-lasting finish. Prioritize scraping off loose, peeling, or flaking paint, and sand down rough areas to create a smooth surface for the new paint to bond with.
