"I had popcorn ceiling needing repair which was bid out separately. Took longer than originally expected, but pricing was good and excellent results. I also hired Eli for some other "smaller" repairs that I just couldn't do on my own. Very pleasing results and I am just excited to find someone willing and able to do the smaller jobs that many of us neglect as we just don't have the tools or ability. I will be selling my house soon, so will probably not use him again, but all my friends now have his info as always looking for a hard-working honest handyman"

I have never had any problems with his work and he has provided fair and competitive pricing. Based on my experiences with Tim, I recommend TSF Construction for your next big project."

"I?ve benefitted from their experience on multiple projects. It?s so helpful to have a professional pair of eyes to work on things with you for the optimal results. Barb has been an awesome resource as we transition into being empty nesters. We have also been moving towards purchasing non toxic, healthier products and Barbs experience has helped a lot!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Off-season pool-building prices often align with the time of year you're least likely to use a pool. Many contractors offer deals in the late fall and winter to bolster the slow time of year. However, if you live in an area with freezing winters, you'll need to wait beyond the final frost and threats of extreme weather.

Yes, you can put too much shock in a pool, and it is crucial to follow the directions on the product you are using. Adding excess shock can upset the chemical balance, make the water cloudy, have adverse effects on swimmers, damage pool equipment or surfaces, and even encourage certain types of algae to grow. If you have over-shocked your pool, perform a water test and adjust the chemicals as necessary. The pool's chemical balance will eventually return to normal as the excess chlorine dissipates over time.

Generally, you should run your pool pump for eight to 12 hours a day to keep your water clean and chemical levels balanced. The ideal runtime can vary depending on your specific pump type. While running the pump as much as possible is ideal for cleanliness, it can increase electricity costs. To save money, you can run the pump strategically during non-peak hours when electricity is cheaper, which is often in the evenings or at night. The hours do not need to be consecutive.

There are some companies that offer acid washes that do not require pool draining. However, the process can take several days and requires a bit more elbow grease to scrub the pool surface compared to draining it entirely. Since your pool surface and age are both a factor, work with a professional to choose the best method.

In-ground pools lose water naturally due to wind, heat, and humidity. They also lose water from the kiddos' cannonball competitions. But be mindful of the water level. If it drops too low and the pump draws in air instead of water, it will likely be damaged and require repair or replacement.
