Great. I had not been having too good of luck with previous tree service companies. The previous one broke my driveway. Peter and company(Tree Cycle)cut down the trees, stacked the rounds, cleaned up and gone in a few hours. I was expecting the worse when I got back to my house. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was all done, cleaned up. No damage.
Description of Work: Three trees cut down into firewood rounds and stumps ground. One tree leaning at 45 degree angle between my house and the neighbors.

About 7-8 branches of an old pine tree broke in the heavy snow around Christmas. I thought the tree was a goner. I e-mailed Peter and he got right back to me. The following day he sent one of his workers, who inspected the damage and thought the tree would live. He pruned all the damaged limbs plus one dead limb and cleaned up all the debris. He didn't damage any of the surrounding landscaping, either.

They managed to get the tree out without harming the other two trees. This company's quoted price was quite a bit lower than another company that we had called. We were surprised at how quickly they were able to respond. They cleaned up very nicely and they stacked the wood by the street as we had asked, as a neighbor wanted the wood.
Description of Work: We have four trees out front and one of the middle trees was dying and effecting the other trees. It was a bit taller than a telephone pole and they cut it down.

Wow! Tree Cycle did a wonderful job! Their price was competitive, their work was excellent, and our property looks so much better since they did their work. We had sought out several bids over the years and just couldn't find the right company to do the job (the companies we previously interviewed were either too expensive...too inexperienced...or we were afraid that they would do a total hatchet job on most of our very old trees that would be impossible to replace). Peter and his workers were punctual, polite, professional, and they took great care of our trees and property. It was amazing to watch them climb up our HUGE fir trees (without spikes) and selectively remove the dead branches that had accumulated over the last several years. They chipped all the trimmings (including the huge Mountain Ash tree they removed) and dumped them in our horse arena in a nice, neat pile. We are VERY pleased with the work that Tree Cycle did for us and would highly recommend them to anyone!
Description of Work: Pruned, chipped, shaped over 15 trees, removed a huge Mountain Ash, Windsailed/trimmed/shaped seven 100+ ft. Firs, and much more.

We were exceptionally pleased with the work from start to finish. We were on a tight schedule with the bids and he came out quickly to provide us with a bid. He had to drop the phone line for the work to be done, and we work out of our home, so the phone is crucial. Peter gave us a date for the job and we scheduled the phone line drop. Tree Cycle showed up for the job on the scheduled date and completed the job in one day. Clean up was spectacular; they even raked up the leaves that had fallen over the weekend. The neighbors really enjoyed the show. The job was completed on schedule with no damage to lawn, fence or other property. The best thing is that the wood will be milled and used to make furniture, so the tree is not a complete loss. Tree Cycle did a great job and we would certainly recommend them to anyone needing tree service. Peter stopped by recently, almost three years after removing the tree. They let the wood sit too long and could no longer use it for furniture. It was given to a man to throw bowls with it. Peter brought us a beautiful bowl made from our tree. It was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated.
Description of Work: Tree Cycle removed an very large, old Big Leaf Maple from our yard and ground the stump. The space was tight with the tree situated between two houses and power lines on the street side.

Timely & very informative estimate. On day of service, Peter, a certified Arborist, trimmed out the dangerous limbs & sails of my very tall fir tree. He never took out more branches than necessary in order to make the tree safe & yet, retain its health & appearance. His crew was friendly and efficient. A couple of strong winds have brought down a branch or two, but these were only those that did not fall through the lower limbs when originally cut. I rang Peter & he was considerate & willing to come on over to check out the tree. I am now confident that I won't fear my tree during the winter storms - I only wish that Peter could trim the trees of my surrounding neighbors. I am pressing them to hire him as based upon his work for me, I am confident that he'd provide them with fair & excellent service.

He did a fantastic job. He did everything he said he was going to do plus he only charged us $360 instead and he cleaned up so well you could barely tell that he'd been there. We were concerned because one of our neighbors had 2 trees removed by a different company and they butchered up the parking strip, neighbors' lawn and theirs as well, all the time having left debris everywhere and then not coming back for several weeks to finish the job of removing 10 ft. tall stumps.

Peter responded promptly to our request for an estimate, came out & discussed the work. Within a couple of days, we received a written estimate and set a date for the work about 2 weeks out. Tree was removed quickly. We had notified our neighbors' about the trimming and gotten their approval; however, during the trimming there was some upset about the extent of trimming we had planned. Workers handled the neighbors' complaints diplomatically and did as much work as possible, but less that what we had intended. Peter graciously made an adjustment to our bill to reflect the actual work completed. All the work was done professionally with obvious aesthetic considerations; all staff were efficient, friendly and professional.

Peter came for an estimate about 6 days after I sent an email. He was then able to do the work 3 days later. I spoke to him several times, but all the work was done without me being home. I asked him to use his judgment about how much pruning and how low to cut the Leland, and whether or not to take a crowded in hemlock. All of his choices worked great and the clean up was excellent. There was no sign of debris. The cost was on par with other quotes I got.

I called Peter about getting an estimate on pruning our trees in our backyard. He told me to shoot him an email with my contact info and address. I did so. He came out within a day and took a look around the yard. He gave me an estimate to prune our fir/cedar trees and another small locust tree. The estimate was approx. $1000 lower than a previous bid from another company (caught us by surprise). He later emailed me with a schedule date asking if it was OK. We said fine. It was within a week. Peter and his crew (2 others) came out to our house on the day they said, at the time they said (15 minutes early), and began work immediately. They worked their way up our trees and within an hour we had beautiful sunlight streaming through our kitchen and dining area! They worked for about 3 hours (a little less) which included a thorough cleanup. Peter mentioned if we had any thoughts on missed spots/areas we could give him a call and he'd come out to fix it. This was our first time dealing with "tree guys" so we can't compare it with anything else (besides price). But Peter got back to me quickly, has a very pleasant demeanor, was on time with everything, and most important. Our trees and yard look wonderful.

They came out when expected and did the work they had outlined. They were polite, cleaned up after themselves and seemed quite efficient. It took less time then I had imagined and they did a very artistic job in creating a snag with the remaining madrone trunk to attract birds. They seemed to employ good safety standards which is important to me. They did a great job and I would use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: We needed one very large aging madrone tree removed in a tight urban setting. We suspected an ailing native Dogwood would also have to be removed but Peter convinced us it still had a few good years if he simply did some trimming. Our other bids did not discuss saving the Dogwood which made it a smaller job.

Peter came out and gave us an estimate in the early summer. We were not in a hurry to do the work. I then obtained estimates from several people on Angie's' List. He was one of the lowest estimates and honored it even though it was fall before we actually did our work. I really enjoyed communicating by email and he was prompt in his responses. I have a tricky schedule and he was very flexible. The crew was on time, they worked very hard, stacked the wood neatly where I requested. I was very curious about the process and wanted to watch and Peter was cognizant about my safety. They cleaned up the house, yard, driveway, street, and sidewalk really well.

After we moved into out home last fall, we identified three pressing tree issues: a large Douglas Fir that was threatening the house due to a weakened trunk, a large pile of rotting firewood that needed to be removed, and a fallen tree that also needed removal. After nearly a year of procrastination over fears of high prices, we finally started calling around to tree service companies. Peter and Tree Cycle were prompt with their reply, patient with our questions, and extremely reasonable with their prices (we had some companies bidding $300 to remove our firewood pile - Peter was able to do it for $95!). I had a lot of concern due to the fir's proximity to the house, but Peter and crew were as careful as possible, and after seeing them work, I feel my worry was unfounded. The crew was efficient and professional, and did a great clean up job. Peter is great to work with - we look forward to have Tree Cycle out to do some more work for us in the very near future!

I called in the morning and Peter came out same day for an in-person estimate. What I really appreciated was Peter's willingness to listen and focus only on what I wanted. He didn't try to sell me additional services and made sure that the thing he had been contacted for was his priority. We did discuss the health of an older tree out front, and he gave me an honest opinion that the tree was in pretty good shape although to my untrained eye it appeared otherwise. I obtained a couple other estimates and Peter's was the most reasonable, especially considering that his included removing all the bark while others would have left it behind. The work area was cleaned up when I returned home. All is well :)
