They were really quick to return my inquiry on a bid. They were really quick. It was a very big tree, and they were very careful not to damage anything. They moved things out of the way. They chipped it all up, and I got to keep the chips.

Peter and Nicholas on two different visits checked out the trees in our whole yard. Where the tree branches over hung from our neighbor's yards, they spoke to the neighbors while here about what they would be doing. We chose them due to their certification as arborists, and that knowledge was at the heart of everything they did for us. The care they took on the day of triming was very evident, and the trees will become healthier as a result. The 4 large fir trees were tipped back in some areas, opened up for wind to pass through in storms and broken branches removed. The incredibly large holly tree was removed quickly, & NEATLY. There was no wasted movement-Three men in trees doing their individual chores, two young men running around under them gathering fallen debris and carting off to the chipper. They even raked up after themselves. Nicholas removed english ivy from three tree trunks by hand-not satisfied with simply cutting a 4 foot band at the base of the tree to kill the ivy, Nicholas was up in the tree as far as the ivy went and pulled the vines off the trunks. All in all quality work, very professional and friendly. We would recommend them highly.

I found Tree Cycle on Angie's List and called on June 15 about having the work done. The only snag in the whole job was a miscommunication on when the work would be done. I would have preferred to be home and I thought we had arranged the job for late in the the week of June 15 when I was off work. When he didn't do the work that week, I was told what day the next week he would be here and he was. Nonetheless, a job well done! I wasn't home when he did the work and still can't figure out how he removed all the debris without going into my neighbor's property or damaging some of my shrubs. I'm impressed.
Description of Work: Two large branches/trunks from an old lilac had fallen during a recent strong wind. While the job wasn't huge, I didn't have the tools to cut up the pieces or the ability and path to remove the debris. Peter charged his minimum amount ($100 + tax) to clean up the mess.

Came out and gave us a bid apprx 2 weeks before service. On the day of service, Peter & his crew showed up on time & wearing bright orange. They arrived with plenty of tools and a clear chain of command. They were very professional. They used plenty of orange cones to block off the part of the street blocked by their truck & wood chipper. They had a crewmember to watch the street & guide traffic when necessary. They remembered everything that we told them/asked of them & they were friendly & courteous to our family. I can't say enough good things about them. They did a tremendous amount of work in just 6 hours and they smiled the whole day through. Peter is an amazing leader, teacher, and businessman. We were sorry that we wouldn't have an ongoing relationship with him. He's a pleasure to work with.

They arrived slightly ahead of the scheduled time much to our delight. They had many vehicles and followed our direction on how to park them. There was a crew of 4 plus the owner to go over the work to be done. He turned the job over to George. They removed a cedar and all the branches & wood in what seemed like minutes. It was awesome to watch. They were like a well oiled machine. George consulted me on every questionable limb on the 3 story birch they were pruning for us. It came out much better than we had hoped for. Clean up was very thorough and when they left you could hardly tell they had been there except for the tree and the overbearing branches on the birch were gone.,

They did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled everything away. The arborist that came in was very knowledgeable about all the different plans and various things that needed to be done. He told us what was good to do. Their price is pretty good, and we were happy about it.

Excellent experience. I was not available to meet for the bid proposal but they stopped by the house to see the necessary work and submitted a reasonable bid. Scheduling was very easy and they were able to perform the work about 10 days after I notified them of my acceptance of their bid. Work was performed during the day while I was at work and all tasks were completed by the time I returned home.

I compared 4 quotes, 3 from Angie's List and 1 from local advertisement. Decided to go for Tree Cycle at the end. What a great experience with Tree Cycle! I can't be happier with Peter and his team member's excellent job on March 12, 2009. From the beginning to the end of the services, their professionalism, down to earth/accommodating style, competitive rate and not to mention their incredible efficiency-everything finished in less than 3.5 hours; impressive and we will hire Peter again whenever we need tree services.

We were amazed to have all of these specimens "dissapear" with no trace of having ever existed! Treecycle managed to preserve adjacent elements that other companies had told us were impossible to preserve. Treecycle's site clean up was impeccable, and they were all so friendly and fun to interact with. One of the Thujas was a very large specimen that had been sheared into a giant barrel shape that was engulfing one corner of the house and the neighbor's garage (15'+ in height + diameter, 12"+ caliper trunk). Due to the close proximity to buildings, fences, and an old ring of Buxus surrounding the base of the Thuja, the work required lots of care and precision. We were amazed to see the ring of Buxus shrubs looking virtually untouched right next to the base of the removed Thuja. Finally, Treecycle was able to give us an email estimate since we had emailed a labeled photo to them of the site and the specimens to be removed. That was so simple for us!
Description of Work: Treecycle removed 3 overgrown Thuja shrubs from our front yard. They also removed the stumps.

Fabulous work. Peter was timely, efficient and knowledgeable in his consultation and assessment. Once scheduled, they arrived near the start time of the very acceptable 2 hour window they had given me. The team jumped right into the work - they were fast, good at their jobs and cleaned up as they went along. Peter changed his mind about trimming 1 tree after closer review, saying leaving it would assure better health for the tree - and he discussed all this with me. I had told our neighbor that we were having an arborist/tree trimming service come and so, when they arrived, she engaged them to do a few things for her, which they are able to take care of right away for her. We couldn't be happier with their efficiency, professionalism, knowledge - and the results!

They were excellent. I had lot of tree stumps and on the hill side there were rocks. Many people came out and told me that they can not bring their machines up there. However Tree Cycle did the work for me. I actually called them for something else and asked if they can look into this. They did it! All together I was very delighted.

Sent email inquiry to obtain a quote to remove 3 cottonwood trees to enhance view. Peter came out within 2 days and gave a quote on site. Also answered questions on how to prune misshapen J**. Maple. Upon further observation of trees to be removed, Peter sent an email quoting a lesser fee and suggested not just 3 trees, but 5 trees to be removed. Japanese Maple also trimmed and trimmings were hauled away.

Within a day of my email request, the owner Peter G appeared at my front door asking if he could do them then. He quoted his price after seeing the trees. Within 25 minutes he had both trimmed, all branches picked and piled up, and gave me the bill. He told me a clean up crew would come within a couple hours to take away the debris. They came, put the limbs into a shredder, and raked clean the area. Peter was very professional and friendly.

Tree cycle emailed back to me quickly. I received an estimate based on the 2 pictures I had sent. Work was scheduled for Monday, Feb 2 which is what I had wanted. The 2 men who trimmed the tree explained what they were going to do, and trimmed the tree without disturbing the bulbs beneath it. I wrote a check when they finished. The tree now looks immensely better and should be much more manageable for us:)

Couldn't have been done better. In 3-1/2 hours, the 3-man crew did all of the services. Plus, stacked wood from fir trees, removed two wheelbarrow loads of volcanic rock from around the cherry stump, and cleaned up beautifully. They did all this in an unexpected snowfall, and with good humor

My experience was A+. Peter's experience was evident not only in the way he trimmed the trees but how he handled the entire transaction. His crew was professional and personable. The price was right.
Description of Work: Peter met me at my home to give me an estimate on taking care of four trees on my property. The biggest concern was a very old and huge dying Madrona. He agreed that we needed to take it down, take part of another 40'-50' wild cherry down and shape two plum trees in the front. We agreed on a price of $1,300(includes tax)and made an appointment date. Peter asked that I be there to make sure they were doing the job to my specifications. On the scheduled date, Peter and 3 other crew members showed up on time and began work. Peter spent a couple of hours in the Madrona, carefully taking down branches as not to injure my other trees and lawn. His crew continued to clean up the debris, chip it and stack the fireplace sized pieces. He agreed to leave about 30-40 feet of the Madrona tree so that birds etc could still enjoy it. To make what could have looked like a big ugly "Y" of a stump, Peter used the chainsaw on the ends to make it look more like a break. Hard to explain, but the tree still now looks natural as opposed to a tree that was chain sawed. He also took down a very tall tree that was part of two right next to each other and made sure all branches that were encroaching on my neighbors roof came down as well. One of his crew shaped and thinned my plum trees in front. This crew of four worked for about 3-4 hours. They were on time, very personable, very professional and safety conscious. I have had other arborist work on my property before and they didn't come close to equaling Peter and his crew. I couldn't be happier with the work. Once the job was done, they left the property as clean as they found it and it was a mess!

I took estimates from Peter at Tree Cycle and from one other company. While I also liked the other company, Peter was particularly amiable (I guess you should never discount the power of customer service for making clients feel comfortable) and possibly a bit more knowledgeable, and his estimate was much lower. It was also very straightforward: $475 for each of the large trees and $425 for all the other work. The day of, Peter came out with two other workmen, both also friendly and professional, and I have to say I appreciated not having the work passed off to subs. They were cautious in lowering the large cut branches from the evergreens with ropes so they wouldn't fall on anything. They were surprised to hear from a neighbor (we're new in this house) that some small trees on our side of the fence belonged to him, and they convinced him to allow them to prune them and a large tree with a branch that hung over our property. They also cleared away a thick blanket of wet leaves left over from the fall; they told us they'd do it ahead of time but it was still great to see. Everything's much less cluttered and hopefully over time, through wind and other seasons, we'll find that they removed exactly the right branches and bits to help our trees stay healthy. I should say I would've liked it if they'd removed the stumps, but otherwise so far so good.
Description of Work: Removed troublesome branches from three very tall evergreens, removed vines growing on one of them and lay down chips, removed several small trees and some branches growing at an angle around power lines, pruned other small trees.
