We ordered a washer-dryer combo on Black Friday and it was set to be delivered within 10 days. It was not, instead we had to wait a month. And when they arrived on January 6, they only had the dryer. We had to refuse it. When we asked to get the combo delivered, they said we ha to wait until February 24th because somehow our order had disappeared the system. Such poor customer service! We will not use Home Depot again.

Their sales person steered me away from the original front loading, energy efficient and water efficient washer I originally wanted. Instead they steered me towards the Whirlpool Cabrio. I bought the washer on his recommendation and I also bought the 5 year warranty on his recommendation. From the first time I used the washer, it didn't even fill completely with water and get my clothes wet. I called them immediately after I realized this fact to let them know the washer wasn't working properly. They told me to use "AFresh" (which is designed to remove built up grime on older machines). My machine had only been used the one time. I did what they suggested, but no change to how the washer operated. Over the course of the last 4 years I have tried to call them to get someone to come repair my washer, but with no success. It is difficult to get in contact with the person who can handle my issue, and I keep getting passed along a line of communication that seems to get me nowhere. I have invested so much time in washing my clothes by hand due to the poorly operating washing machine I purchased from Home Depot. Since July, I have called in again and I finally got someone to offer for a tech to come out and take a look at my washer. When the tech came out, he was supposed to evaluate the machine. He was grumpy and unpleasant and he told me I was wasting his time by having him come look at my machine. After he left, I received a follow up email claiming that my washing machine is working fine. To this day, I am still washing my clothes by hand and just using the washing machine as a finishing spin cycle. I would never buy anything from Whirlpool or Home Depot ever again due to the poor service I've received.

I had a horrendous experience with them. Home Depot in Seattle is terrible. I'll never shop there again. When the product was delivered. They were supposed to be 13x13 and the average size of the pieces was 8x8. It didn't cover the square footage that was promised. It wasn't what I was promised. They sent out the distributor to look at it. The representative agreed with me and said it wasn't up to their standards. He delivered the 40 pieces. The ones that home depot delivered were 2 inches thick and the ones he delivered were 1/2 an inch thick. The whole area was prep for 2 inch thick flagstone. I went to Home Depot to get resolution. They said that there was nothing that they could do. The distributor did everything that they could possibly do. I am writing them a letter. They said that I could pick up each piece and exchange it one by one in their store. He started yelling at me on the phone. I ended up picking up each stone, washing it off and re-palleting them. Then they came and picked them up and refunded my money. I was still out the $500 that I paid to have it laid.

I bought a refrigerator from them. I paid for the service of moving my old refrigerator to the basement. He came in. The rudest guy I've ever run into. This is their delivery service, whoever they were. Basically, he refused to move the old refrigerator. He said there wasn't enough space. I measured it later. There's like a double door. It's got to be five feet. He just didn't want to move it. So I complained to Home Depot. They finally sent out somebody who put it in, but it took forever. I wanted some compensation for it and they just bugged out on me. This one had a scratch in it, which I was okay to take at first. It's not anywhere you can see. But, I said, "Well, if you're going to give me a new one, I'd rather have an unscratched one." That was going to take three weeks. So it took at least a week, if not longer, to get the old one back and installed and the other one moved. The last people they sent said, "Ah he's wrong" to everything that this first guy had said and did everything that was needed. There was also an issue about whether they could get the old refrigerator into place under a duct. This guy said, "No, it won't fit." The second people just went, "Sure." I wasn't happy with Home Depot's response in general. I've had good experiences with them for years. So it was only this particular one that was so bad. I would say it was specifically connected with appliance sale and delivery. I've had appliances from them before too, but I never had trouble. The refrigerator cost was fine and they were on time.

He got what he needed and he came home happy so I assumed it went well. The people are great with customer service. There's plenty of employees so you don't have to wander around for people to help you and when they help you they go out of their way to make it a good experience for you. They will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need even if it means that they have to walk all the way across the store. They've cut wood for me, they will help you load your car and tie it down. Their store is close to us and I have no complaints.

Replacing all the windows in my house was an expensive and extensive project. I was leery of using Home Depot for this, but the HD employees and the installers were all wonderful to work with, and they made it a pleasant experience. Home Depot has a rigorous project planning process that meant I always knew who and how to contact if I had questions. The installers were efficient, hard working, easy to have in the house. Home Depot staff followed up on the project at every step of the way.
To begin, I went to Home Depot and told them I wanted windows. They scheduled a salesman to come out to measure and help me select the type and style. Mike came out and measure all the windows and spent a lot of time talking to me about pros and cons of materials, styles, and so on. After he left, I changed my mind about two windows and I called him over the weekend or early one morning, I've forgotten which, to ask for a change. He answered the phone, said no problem, and came right out to get that paperwork taken care of. After the initial visit, an installation expert came out and remeasured all the windows again and tested for lead.
There were a couple of changes necessitated by the laminated option I chose, but Mike called me, explained the issue, apologized for the change, and help it get sorted so that by the time the windows arrived not one was the wrong size and everything was exactly what I expected.
I hadn't considered the roof over the bay window I had installed, but they put a roof on that matches my house nearly exactly. I also hadn't considered the permit, but they take care of that. The windows were installed, caulked, and trimmed (where necessary) and the site cleaned up.
The installers worked independently, only asking for a decision a few times when it made sense. That was helpful since I work at home!
Before this experience I had a low opinion of Home Depot's customer service. This experience completely turned my opinion around, and it seems like the customer service is even better in the stores, too. Maybe it's my attitude?!

Ordering experience was great and the salesperson (Ben) was very patient and helpful. Installation guy came on time and did an excellent job. The shades look great. We're very happy and would work with them again.
