The crew showed up on time but it went downhill from there. In removing the cedar, the crew dragged the limbs and other debris through established planting beds and across the lawn, damaging plants and trashing the lawn. The crew showed a complete and utter disregard for any landscaping in their path. When I pointed this out to the owner, his response was that the plants would grow back. In addition, although their website boasts that they will leave you with a clean site, not so! They left branches, trimmings and other debris from the pruning underneath the shrubs. When the owner came back to the house to prune shrubs that the crew missed, he did the same thing! I have never hired a pruning service that left such a mess. To make matters worse, when I contacted the owner to address my concerns, he was dismissive and unsympathetic. Given the poor attitude towards customer service, I would not hire Blooma again.

We needed a limb removed from a backyard tree after it fell on a fence. It was dangling precariously over a busy street so I did not feel like going at it myself. We called Blooma on Monday evening (after 6pm) after spending most of the day calling other tree services only to be declined due to client overload or just flat out ignored. Martin agreed to come out the next morning and take a look at our situation. He arrived on time and we explained the situation. He took a look and offered to cut off the limb right on the spot for nothing. 10 minutes later the limb was down and cut up into manageable chunks. He even helped move the debris off the street while I set to work repairing the fence. We would definitely have Martin and Blooma back to work on future projects.

I called and asked about making a appointment for a and quot; certified tree risk assessmentand quot; , and let them know I needed the paperwork filled out for the city in order to get a permit. They agreed to do it and gave me a price quote of 200.00 dollars. We set a day and time. Martin the owner was 1 hour late. He looked the tree and said it was a in need of removal. While at the house I asked if he could fill out the paperwork. He said he did not have time to and would do it at the office. The next thing I get is a proposal for removal and a tree assessment. I called and spoke to Martin and he said it was a package deal that he would not do a assessment alone. I would not have wasted his time or mine had I made aware of this. The cost being close to 3,000.00 dollars, almost twice as much and in some cases more than I can get it done by other professionals.

They do great work, very professional, on time, would give them all A's but for the price. Granted, they were the only ones available on short notice and the cheaper companies couldn't do the work when needed.

We had 3 large trees removed and 2 of them where a crane had to be used due to houses and space. They showed up on time and worked hard removing a birch in front so the crane could get into the driveway to remove the larger Spruce and Fir. The Spruce and fir trees had been topped many times a long time ago (not by me) and had many different trunks coming out of 1 base trunk. These trees were dangerous and had to go! They also were located right on the property line so 10' away from my neighbors house and 15' from my house. When the crane arrived they were ready to go and started hoisting tree trunks in the air over my drive and into the street. Once the tree trunk hit the ground the guys cut it so quick that any car waiting to go by on the street did not have to wait long! It took a lot of work but they did everything possible to make it quick and efficient for the crane work (the most costly part) and then cleaned up so that when they were gone it did not look like they had been there! I will always recommend Blooma to anyone needing tree work. They are excellent arborist and can prune a tree and when they are done you can not tell anyone pruned anything except the tree is healthy and nice looking. The way it should always be! They handle close quarters work between houses without any problems and they are always great friendly guys to work with.

Blooma arrived as scheduled and quickly and efficiently completed their work. Two days after the tree work was done, a worker arrived with a stump grinder. In the process of grinding the stump, he severed two lines in our sprinkler system. Given that we spread the wood chips over our beds as a mulch, we were unaware of the damage to the sprinkler system until we turned it on in July. I excavated the areas where water was rushing from the ground and saw where the lines had been severed in one area and ripped off a supply line 12 feet away, resulting in three leaks in two areas. I contacted Blooma after going to Home Depot to purchase the materials necessary to make repairs. Blooma refused to make the repairs and insisted that they were not responsible for repairing damage to our sprinkler system. We were NEVER told to mark our sprinkler system which we had installed ourselves (and knew where the lines ran). Given that our need for a sprinkler system was greater than accepting Blooma's offer to go to arbitration (!), I completed the repairs myself in 90 minutes with $30 of parts. I am choosing to post on Angie's List because I feel I have received poor customer service and because when I told Blooma that I would express my unhappiness on the internet, I was accused of extortion. I am not an extortionist and I don't have unreasonable expectations--I just feel that I had poor customer service once the damage was brought to their attention. Not even a visit. Their tree work was fantastic, but they cut our sprinkler system and refused to fix the damage.

Wow! I've had 3 other tree companies service my trees over the past 10 or so years. My trees are vibrantly alive to me, and they deserve genuine care, which I didn't get with the last companies who worked here. I still have PTSD from the tree service who butchered my fruit trees last year! The first few years I was naive, and though I was disappointed, I always paid and regretted that I had chosen so poorly. This time, however, Blooma surpassed my greatest expectations! Not one cuss word was spoken among the workers, all messes were swept up, and it seemed that they genuinely loved their work and enjoyed working with each other. They had estimated that it would take half a day, and they worked until the work was done, a bit longer than they probably had planned. But most of all, they explained things to me and asked me for permission to do things a little differently than planned in a couple of places. They were the finest workers I could have imagined, and my trees look just perfectly thinned, limbed up, and sculpted (the fruit trees needed corrective pruning). I could not have found a better company! 2 of the workers were ISA certified! I recommend Blooma without reservation!

Blooma came and did an estimate which we thought was great compared to the few other estimates we got. The crew showed up (about 4 guys) and really examined our trees and talked with us about what we wanted and how they were going to do it. I was really impressed by their understanding of trees. They climbed way up and trimmd a bunch of branches off our biggest trees. They also talked with us briefly about our plans for future tree planting and provided some recommendations for which trees to plant where. They fixed a little sick tree which is looking much better now. Now that the trees have leaved out - they look amazing and we are very impressed. They cleaned up very well and put all of the cuttings through their tree shredder. Very impressed!

Martin responded promptly and professionally to my tree removal request. On the scheduled morning, his crew were in action at the break of dawn, with the tree removal finished by the time I got home from work. No traces of damage to any surrounding landscape. They removed my tree and ground the stump, as quoted, and on time. Excellent service, highly recommended.

This yard was in major need of work. Martin came out the same day that I called and gave me an estimate. They came out a couple of days later and did a fantastic job. They are artists as well as plant specialists. They shaped the trees and bushes beautifully and the big cedar tree looked great when they were done with it.

Getting an estimate was super easy. I met Martin after work and he walked around my yard and gave me his opinion on both health of trees and risk to my house. We set up appt for about 2 weeks later. The guys showed up in the morning and worked nearly all day removing trees and pruning the trees around the house. I had several trees that were literally over hanging the house and the team worked professionally with no risk to my roof or house. Also, my yard is all garden and I was concerned that the tree work would damage my garden. There was no damage to plants and the yard was cleaned of any/all debris from all of the tree pruning and removal. I was impressed with the work.

Our beloved parrot flew out the back door. She perched in our giant pine tree about 45 feet up off the ground. No amount of coaxing would bring her down. After four rainy days and nights we were desperate. We called Blooma and they sprung into action without delay. Zuka climbed the tree and spent almost an hour trying to get the bird come to him. He wasn't able to catch her but she flapped off to a much lower tree. We were able to rescue her later. Because of their superb responsiveness we're using Blooma to trim our trees. Yes we're looking at Angie's List for screen door installation.

Excellent experience. I'm a 1st time home owner, so hiring people for maintenance is always stressful, but this experience was stress free. They did the work quickly and efficiently--I'd expected a much bigger production for that huge tree, but Martin made it look easy. They chopped up the wood, chipped some and put it around the fruit trees. Did everything exactly the way we talked about, and the estimate stayed firm. I was more than willing to pay a bit more for someone who clearly knows his stuff. If only every transaction was this straightforward and professional.

We had 3 bids for the job and Blooma was right in the middle. We really like the guy who came out to our house, I believe his name was Martin. He seemed to know what he was talking about and did a fine job of walking us through the process. Sadly, the execution of his plan wasn't nearly as smooth as his explanation. This house is a rental so I wasn't there when they started, but I was told they arrived on time. All I can really speak to is the aftermath of the tree removal and other work. Let's start off with the worst of it all, removing the tree. They completely and utterly destroyed our yard with the falling logs. They hit all over the yard, leaving big ditches and holes where there was once grass. I absolutely couldn't believe it. Just ruined the yard. To boot, it would appear something from the tree fell into the laurels (that they were trimming) and it broke one of the bushes, so there is a big dip in our line of laurels now. There was also a bend in one of our gutters, which scares the heck out of me. How close did they get to the roof? I didn't opt for the stump grinding but instead of doing a nice clean job of getting the stump down low and smooth, they left us with a jagged spike of a stump in the middle of our yard that was about 2 feet high. No attention to detail or any sign of really caring about the work they performed. Part of the deal was to remove the left over wood. While they did get the big logs out with in a week, the firewood took over 3 weeks to remove. The trimming of the laurels was just as lackluster and absent of detail as the tree removal. They only trimmed the top, didn't trim them back at all. Considering this was $800 of the $2600 job, well, let's just say it was up to par with the rest of the work. Honestly I didn't even take note to whether they did the rest of the job with any semblance of care or quality. The rest of my experience well overshadowed anything else they could have done. Now I'm out getting quotes on repairing the lawn and helping me with the laurel which has come in around the price of $1500, making this job almost twice as much as it was to begin with to take the tree out. We recently hired another company to do a tree removal and yard work at our own home (i.e. not the rental that Blooma mangled) and they did a great job at a very reasonable rate. I'm not sure the policy on naming other companies in reviews, so I would just say... shop around.

Too expensive. Cut some lovely old branches of a tree that we really only wanted crowned.

Martin came out to give us the estimate. He was very knowledgeable about each kind of tree and the proper kind of pruning needed. He wrote up an estimate and provided it to me on the spot. On the day arranged, four guys showed up with all their equipment, verified what needed to be done and got right to work. They were very polite, professional, and efficient. They also cleaned up very nicely after their work. The price seemed a little bit high, but I had never called on a licensed arborist before, so I don't have anything to compare to, and in the end, it was worth it, as I was really satisfied and pleased with their work.

Martin and his wife were professional through the entire process. He gave a quote that he stuck with, took the time during the quote to educate me on my trees and approximate life left in the trees. His crew of four Arborist (all Isa certified) were prompt and finished the job in 8 hours. I didn't find one speck of sawdust or a stray branch when I turned from work and our water view was to die for.
