"Thank you for the review, [Member Name Removed]. We will share this with Josiah and his crew, so they can learn from their mistake."
"Thank you, [Member Name Removed], for the excellent review. We are so happy that you are happy. Kind regards, Martin and the Blooma Crew"
"Thank you, [Member Name Removed], for taking the time to post your review. We greatly appreciate it! Warmly, The Blooma Crew"
"Thank you so much for this great review. We value you as a long-term customer, and hope to take care of your tulip tree for many years to come. Warmly, The Blooma Crew"
"This is obviously an issue that [Member Name Removed] should have brought up with their neighbor in instructing the dumping of woodchips in the driveway. Our company simply followed directions given to us and gave them a complimentary load of chips."
From the time that Martin, the owner-arborist came to discuss the condition and health of our very large Maple tree, to the clean-up of the sawdust it was a very professional undertaking.
After Martin’s bid on the removal the tree and grinding of the stump we had a couple of questions we hadn’t asked him. My husband was very impressed with the professionalism by the office staff. The questions she was unable to answer she called us back in a short time with it.
The tree was not only causing rocks to be dislodged into the drive going into the basement garage, damage to foundation and patio, but it was determined the tree was rotting and should be removed. Because of the close proximity to the house, they had to use a crane when cutting it down to keep from doing damage to house, drive, patio and shrubbery. The crew or four, led by Martin, was prompt arriving here shortly after seven AM. The smaller branches were cut and shredded. They cut the logs into about sixteen inch rounds and stacked them neatly. We were told that any we didn’t want would be picked up either later that same day or the next. A couple of Martin’s crew came back a couple of days later and ground the stump and did the final clean-up.
I might also add that Martin’s bid was a full thousand dollars less than another bid by a local tree service.
We would definitely recommend Blooma Tree Experts to others. When the tree was down, the crew carefully stacked the wood and did all the cleanup.
I will use Blooma again and again. As a REALTOR I am asked frequently for recommendations for tree services. I always recommend Bloom Tree Service!
These guys really, really know what they're doing. We have used then once before and are as happy this time as we were last time.
"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you so much for the thoughtful and positive review of our work. We really appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to endorse us. It's customers like you that make our job rewarding. Warmly, Martin"

Their 4-man crew showed up on time and were able to get every thing done in one day, including site clean-up. We would definitely recommend these guys for any tree removal project.
"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you for the positive review of our crew and our work. That was some tree we removed -- one for the books! We really appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to endorse us. It's customers like you that make our job so rewarding. Warmly, Martin"
Equally important was the bid process. Blooma was the ONLY contractor I contacted that came out and met with me in person for the bid. The bid was clear and professional. I felt the price was very reasonable.
Communication with Blooma was easy before and after the process as well. They are very responsive to phone and email contact.
Overally I felt like Blooma is a very professional outfit that takes its work seriously. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree work.

Martin's and Blooma Tree Expert's demonstrated a profound lack of knowledge of, or disregard for Seattle permitting requirements and much worse, blamed the home owner for Blooma Tree's failure to complete the job contracted.
I obtained the permit for our tree removal from the Seattle Department of Planning and Development (SDPD), on 04/04/14. SDPD has jurisdiction over tree removal on private property. The permit is still active.
I contracted with Martin at Blooma Tree Experts for the removal of a very large cedar tree on private property adjacent to the side walk.
He put off the work for many weeks finally giving us a date of 06/05/14. He blamed City Light for the delay stating that was the soonest available power line drop date (later found to be a questionable excuse).
On 05/15/14 I emailed Martin and asked if I should go ahead and get the no parking permits from the City as required or was he going to do it. He emailed back not to worry, he would do it himself. The city requires the barricades and no parking notice be placed 48 hrs in advance of no parking date.
06/04/14 the day before the work , Martin had not set up the no parking barricades as required (48 hr advance). I called him and had to leave a voice message (polite) to express concern and to ask when they would arrive. At 10:23 that night Martin sent me an email thanking me for calling and stating that he had totally forgotten.. and Oh and by the way the job will not be done until 06/06/14.
The day of the work, Martin set up the boom truck on the sidewalk with the truck pulling the chipper on the curb in front of the house and the crew started working on the tree. My husband left for work and once they were well started I got in the shower. when I was all cleaned up I looked out our window and observed the tree crew cleaning up the work site preparing to leave.
Surprised, I went out to see what was up, and was advised that the work had been closed down by a Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) inspector.
SDOT has jurisdiction over the right of way, including the sidewalk, median strips and streets. SDOT also includes "Urban Forestry" which has jurisdiction over the trees in the right of way.
The SDOT inspector, Daniel C. had written a violation of the codes indicating "Unlawful Use of the City's Right of Way" Martin / Bloomatree Experts Had failed to obtain the proper permit for the boom truck in the right of way. Nor had he gotten the proper no parking permits as agreed. He had also not copied or posted the SDPD authorization for the tree removal.
SDOT requires three documents to block the sidewalk/street or use a boom truck: "Street Use General Application", "Construction Use Permit Application", and "Site Plan Template." Martin had neglected all three.
Instead of behaving in a professional manner and taking responsibility for his failure to comply with SDOT requirements, Martin accused me of not obtaining the permit for the tree removal. I reminded him that I forwarded him a copy of the permit and that he agreed to be responsible for the no parking permit.
He stated to me that "he never gets a permit for the boom truck" and that its never a problem if there is a permit posted. He continued to deny that I sent him the permit or that he agreed to obtain the no parking permits. (I have email verification of all) He continued to pack up the job and left the site.
I confirmed in person with SDPD that no one had called in a complaint to their office about the tree removal, and SDOT had received a complaint and finding no permits for the right of way, they sent out and inspector.
When the inspector showed up, and apparently not knowing the difference Martin called SDOT and rightly confirmed with them there was no permit for removing the tree in their records (that's because the tree was not in the right of way). Had he called SDPD they would have told him immediately that there was an active, valid permit.
Our job was stopped because he didn't get the proper permitting for the right of way and boom truck, and because he didn't know the difference between SDPD and SDOT. To add insult to injury, Martin has been exceedingly rude and unprofessional about the whole situation. If he had only taken responsibility and owned up to his mistake I would not be posting this, but that is not the case.
I have documentation that all my statements above are accurate and truthful.
Martin the owner of Blooma Tree Experts was not an expert, was rude, irresponsible and unprofessional in the way he handled our case. His behavior cost me a days work and then the time needed to locate another company to remove the tree responsibly
"We are sorry this customer had a bad experience -- we did, too. In fact, we sued this couple and won: King County District Court judge Anne Harper found the _____ in breach of contract and ordered them to pay Blooma $1121.73 (the full amount). Case #155-00356."
"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your positive review. We really appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to endorse our work and crew. It's customers like you that make this work so rewarding. Warmly, Martin"
Blooma showed up in a timely manner on the day they scheduled.
The tree removal was quick and the pruning made the trees look better and made our back yard more useable.
They did a great job of cleaning up the residue that ended in out yard and two neighbors yards. The completed the cleanup I 1 yard even with a snarling/snapping dog in the yard.
The large tree was cut into lengths and placed in my pickup so I could deliver the wood to my daughter.

First, my service was rescheduled at the last minute to a time the following day that I wasn't able to be home. When I arrived home on the service day, just as the team finished up, my neighbor informed me that they had parked and operated their chipper in front of her house (where her granddaughter was napping) instead of mine for the entire duration of service and, when asked to move, they refused, saying they didn't have time. They had never asked me where an appropriate location for the chipper would be, and did not explain the parameters of the location needed so that I could prepare my neighbors for the terrible noise and disruption.
I later also found the crew's empty water bottles strewn around my property, and noticed that they had destroyed several tomato plants during the service.
When the stump grinder operator returned on another day (a week later than scheduled because their machine broke down) to grind the stumps, he crushed a brick wall with the machine and caused a 5-6ft section to collapse. Although he graciously apologized and said someone would come fix it within a few days, it never got fixed and I never received any additional communication from the company. After waiting more than a week, I had to fix it myself. When I contacted Blooma again to ask for an explanation and a credit on my bill, the owner was not apologetic at all and refused to give me the credit I requested.
It's a shame that the service was so poor, as I have additional tree work I need to hire someone for, and I have several neighbors who have asked for referrals. Sadly, I won't be turning to Blooma again.
"We are disappointed to see this poor review. We parked the chipper in the only spot available to us; we did not say we "didn't have time" to move it; we said we "couldn't move it." (The neighbor most likely did not report the exchange accurately.) The brick "wall" that was partially damaged was simply stacked bricks (the mortar had crumbled long ago), We would have rebuilt the part that was damaged, but the lack of mortar in the rest of the wall made that impossible. We DID credit this customer's account the amount she asked for and re-sent her the invoice on 9/9/14."
