They took time to protect furniture and trim that was not to be painted, and for the most part, all work was completed without incident. We did have a couple of incidents related to damage of personal property, but we let them pass. Some tape was left on a few items and one missing outlet cover was not replaced. Overall, we are satisfied with the work and recommend them for large jobs within the house."

The best time to paint indoors is typically in winter. When the weather is colder outside, you receive reasonable temperatures and humidity levels inside your heated home. You’ll have better paint adhesion when humidity is at average levels or below. To avoid higher-than-average humidity, avoid repainting indoors on winter days when it’s raining or snowing outside.

Sanding a wood floor can be a lot of work, especially if the room is large. However, if you skip this step, the paint might not stick properly to the floor. Over time, your paint can peel or chip. Eventually, you may need to repaint the floor all over again. Save your time and money by sanding the floor the first time.

It’s possible to paint inside when it rains, but you should keep the windows closed and have a dehumidifier in the room to maintain proper humidity under 70%. Note that keeping the windows closed means you won’t have ventilation, so double-check that you’re using a no-VOC paint for safety. Even then, it’s a better idea to wait until the rain has passed before you start painting.
