I've used Seatown for several different service calls. By far the most major one was a partial rewire that replaced some knob and tube wiring. There are several reasons why I view the as an excellent company: - Their administrative and dispatch system is efficiently and competently run. Phone calls during business hours are answered quickly (I've never been on hold for more than a minute or so), they usually have good availability, and the phone operator takes plenty of notes during your phone call which are then communicated to your technician who then has ample context on your problem right up front. - All of the technicians I've worked with have been friendly, communicative, and professional. It always seemed like they know what they're doing. Also, they will patiently explain to you what's causing your issue and what they did to resolve it. - I want to particularly call out Micah, the technician in charge of my rewire project, who was outstanding. He initially came out to diagnose why a couple of circuit breakers were constantly tripping, and identified the need to rewire my garage, office, furnace, and one bedroom. He wrote me an estimate, which I later compared to other companies' and turned out to be quite reasonable. Between my shopping around and heavy holiday demand, it wound up being a few weeks before the rewire was completed. In the intervening time, the circuits tripped a few more times. When I notified Micah of this, he offered to personally come over to further troubleshoot the problem - on Christmas Day - despite Seatown being closed! Micah also found a way to complete the rewire with almost no interior drywall damage. Finally, he was particularly helpful in answering my many questions about my home's electrical system, both before and after the rewire. Micah's combination of professional competence and personal empathy is very uncommon and exemplary. If you hire Seatown for any major electrical work, try to get Micah as your technician. While I am overall very satisfied with Seatown, there are a couple areas that I think could be improved: - At one point between Micah's initial estimate and the start of the rewire project, the circuit connecting my furnace gave out. This was on December 23rd, and I was concerned about my house not having heat. I e-mailed Seatown's emergency mailbox requesting someone come out requesting emergency service, but did not receive a response until December 27th. The office being closed for the holidays is completely understandable, but if you're going to have an emergency mailbox then you should be able to respond to it promptly 24/7, or at least have some kind of auto-reply that sets expectations on when a human can respond. - For relatively minor calls, their service visit fee is quite inelastic relative to the work that is actually done. By which I mean, I've paid about $300 every time they send an electrician out (other than the rewire), regardless of whether they did significant work like replace damaged, bare wire in my breaker panel, or just tell me not to use a space heater. It probably evens out in the long run, but each service call is a bit of a crap shoot on whether I'm going to feel like I got my money's worth. It seems to me to make more sense to charge a lower up-front visit fee, but then charge additionally for specific services rendered.

Brandon did an excellent job. He is a skilled electrician, good communication skills and thorough. Explained all aspects of the work along the way and provided me with confidence that the work would be professionally completed.

I got the estimate and asked if there was a mistake. It was over $1,000 for about two hours of work. I tried to get the hourly rate when I set up the appointment for the estimate but they wouldn't give it to me. Turns out that's because it's about $450/hour. Nice truck, nice technician, very professional customer service. But give me a break -- $450/hour???

Malik went above and beyond our expectations for fixing our electrical issues. Having never needed to hire an electrician before, I did not know what to expect. Malik was professional, efficient, and solved our problem without breaking a sweat. We are so grateful for his help and would recommend Seatown without hesitation !

The work performed by Bradley Molsalsky, Electrical Technician was wonderful. He was thorough and explained the work he was doing and gave an overview of what he planned to do before he started. He kept me informed each step of the way how things were going with the inspections and where he was in the process of the job. He also helped me answer questions about some of the other parts of the job that were scheduled for different times.

From scheduling to paying, Seatown was a pleasure to work with. The techs were pleasant, thorough, and answered all of my questions knowledgeably.

Arrived on time and did an excellent job of answering my questions on the best placement and power compacity of the charger. Would definitely hire again.

It went very smoothly. Seemed like a straightforward routine job. It took about 2 hours to remove and replace my 50-gal water heater. The company was very proactive with communication. It seemed a bit steep at ~3k but I didn’t shop around so I can’t say for sure.

Lead plumber Mitchell, did great service with even better follow up. As with a lot of services, it comes down to the actual person with which you interact. Mitchell handled a drywall repair issue related to the installation by taking personal responsibility and action to cover the cost himself. Seatown plumbing manager initially said they were not covering the repair, but after speaking with Mitchell this morning confirmed that Seatown will reimburse him for the cost of repair. Mitchell exhibited a high level of competency in his work, and an equally high level of character.

Great! Aaron did a great job helping figure out how to get a new 60 amp line run in the backyard Austin and Owen did a perfect job with the new electrical panel, running the new line, and upgrading the grounding. Everything was coordinated and done right on time. They explained the new system and all the work they did. They also went above and beyond to workaround an issue with the number of outlets we needed (extra time working outside in the rain in January!)

They answered all my questions, came when they said they would. We are happy with the work they did. They are great!

Amazing. Brennan quoted us $1200, saying we needed to replace all pipes. Seatown did it for the diagnostic fee of $75 by tightening some areas. Long story, but Seatown was HONEST and one of the few companies that came same-day as they told us we were an “emergency” due to the gas leak, so I appreciated that, too. I asked Andrew to leave his card with me and will definitely call them again.

A good system of communication; a fair price; good professional practices. No unnecessary work with a heads up about the need to eventually update the kitchen faucet

Great job by Seatown to add two new electrical circuits in my garage. Micah, the Seatown technician was friendly, highly professional and clearly competent. Micah discussed my objectives for the improvements and the advised me on the options and installation apporach. He provided an estimate on the spot and after some discussion we settled on price and the work was scheduled. Seatown kept me informed and work was accomplished on schedule. I am very pleased with the work! Seatown handled all the permitting and scheduled the inspection with the City. Great job!

They uncovered potential hazards and fixed

Micah was very professional and experts at his work. He efficiently troubleshoot the issue and fixed the problem. We’ll not hesitate to hire SeaTown when we need expert electricians the next time.

I was really appreciative that Seatown Services was willing and able to fit me in so fast. I didn't love the 50 dollar fee to give me an estimate on the work as contractors I've worked with in the past normally do an estimate for free and then you can choose to commit to the work (the 50 dollars is credited should you choose to have them do the work). I also found the work to be more expensive than I had anticipated (nearly doubly so). That being said, they were upfront about everything and I really can't fault any of the work. I would definitely go through them again but if I was looking to save money I might go for some less expensive bids first.

We had a great experience with Seatown. Our electrician Micah was extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsive. He was able to explain in layman's terms what we needed to have done and the most efficient and safe way to do the project. Both the estimate process and scheduling were very easy and user-friendly. I would highly recommend Seatown and would definitely hire them again.

9000.00 was extremely expensive for a new electrical panel. They did come out right away. We did ask them not to go through our metal roof which they did anyway and we are still waiting for them to replace the roofing panel and also waiting for the Sheet rock work to be done above and below the panel they installed which they said they would have completed. There are two gaping taped over areas on the top and bottom of the panel. Work was done a month ago and we are still waiting on these fixes. The panel work was good but they did have to come back a couple weeks after the job was done to put the names on the breakers so we would know what turned off what. The workers were friendly but due to the excessive cost-I’ll hire from somewhere else. The office staff was helpful

He did a great job. The electricity was out in one corner of the house. The first electric company I called came but couldn't figure it out, but the Seatown guy found and fixed the problem. Also gave me useful information about what was going on. All that I could ask for!

Bottom line - I am happy with our three-head ductless Mitsubishi heat pump installation. It now functions properly and looks good inside and out. Controllers work well. Units are super quiet. Price was mid-range so reasonable. But…it was not a smooth road to get to this outcome. Started off well with a quick response to do a site visit and prepare an estimate. The tech was knowledgeable and provided accurate information (I had consulted with a home energy consultant and did online research). It took some work on my part to get a correct final bid that included the proper rebates – I had to correct their first one because it was for two heads rather than three and then get the rebate deducted. Scheduling the installation was easy and prompt and was done in 1.5 days. The two person team had good judgement about where to put the external conduits and locate the heat pump. BUT – they installed the refrigerant lines incorrectly (crossed the connections to the pump) so the heads iced up and then leaked water. They came back a few days later to fix the problem and now the heads work fine. But they did not properly reinstall the sheathing around the lines, which City inspector noted. So they had to come out again to fix this. They have a great zero percent financing deal with Synchrony bank but could not answer questions about how it worked, the terms, etc. Took a fair bit of time to sort this out with the bank, but seems to be set up now. I asked three times to get copy of warranty and registration of equipment with Mitsubishi for my records but never did receive this.
