Small jobs welcome

"We moved from Canada to the U.S. as a family, and at first it felt like a lot to take on. The process moved forward steadily, our things were handled carefully, and nothing went missing or got damaged. Everything arrived in Denver when expected. For a move of this size and distance, it stayed manageable and didn?t turn into the chaos we were worried about."

"EmeryBuilders coordinated with Barron Heating to investigate and completely fix a problem in the attic involving readjusting and repositioning the wood structure and moving the fireplace flu at a further distance from the wood structure bringing it to code and STOPPING the problem of soot leaking out the top of the fireplace... a sure disaster fire waiting to happen!! I can not say enough positive things about the ENTIRE experience working with Ean. He was professional, compassionate, completely reliable, friendly, understanding, skilled in his work, any job was as important as the next and he gave me hope that this would be fixed and fixed well!! And it was!! I completely 100% recommend EMERYBUILDERS for any and all handyman jobs you may have. I WILL be calling and using him and his skills in the future. He has my top recommendation!! Call him!"

Moving FAQs, answered by experts

It is helpful for safety reasons to pack knives in their own box and clearly label them. This way, movers can take extra caution when moving these boxes and pack them in the moving truck accordingly. Plus, it will remind you to use extra caution when unpacking that box in your new kitchen.

Yes, moving insurance is designed to cover some or all of the replacement cost in the event your items are damaged during transit. You can get coverage directly from moving companies or use a third-party moving insurance provider. Plus, you can get coverage from third-party insurers for yourself if you’re moving your belongings.

You can purchase moving straps online or at a moving supply store, typically costing between $25 to $40. Shoulder moving straps for two people cost around $40, while forearm moving straps for two people cost around $30. Shoulder straps for one person cost about $30.

When loading a moving truck, the general rule is to load the heaviest and largest items first to create a stable base at the front of the truck, which helps balance the weight. You can start with large furniture like sofas, beds, mattresses, and tables to form a solid foundation, or begin by placing your heaviest boxes against the truck's walls to create a base layer. After the base is set, continue loading other large items like appliances and square furniture. Lighter and smaller objects, including most of your boxes, should be loaded last. They can be packed into gaps, around, and on top of the heavier items to maximize space. Following this order makes unloading easier and helps prevent damage to your belongings.

Yes, you can use a dolly to move a treadmill, though you won't always need one. If your treadmill has wheels and you’re moving it to a different location on the same floor, you can likely skip the dolly. But if you’re moving it up a flight of stairs or to a new home, a dolly can help you move it more easily.
