"Josh redid the dining room chairs. They are 100 years old and the strapping holding the springs had disintegrated. He sourced the strapping and did a great job of restoration including gluing the joints. Cleaned up the area perfectly. We can give Josh the highest rating"

"The company was hired to replace our fascia boards on all three levels of the house. We also had them paint the soffets. This was a large job and they were punctual, professional and really proficient at thier job. The only downside is they were a bit expensive, but we felt they were worth it when we saw the results."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Excellent company. Jack is amazing, he is nice and friendly and he has a keen eye for design. He is a master craftsman and a perfectionist. Arrives every day on time and always show up, has a wonderful crew that he brings onto the project. I would highly recommend Jack of All Trades for any project, not just bathroom remodel. I was pleased with his work and the price and how quickly he got the project done!"

"Superior services is exactly what this company is. Great attitude, on time, true to his word. Grand kids were so very excited,"the construction man is here, the construction man is here" is all they could say while waiting for it to be finished. I would like to submit some photos but it appears that I can't."

"I would HIGHLY recommend Aleksandr Surinov with A to Z Custom Remodeling LLC. He is absolutely amazing to work with. Very professional and knowledgeable. I was having issues with my dryer for months. I had called in three different specialists and no one was able to solve the problem. So I broke down and ordered a new dry from Best Buy. Best Buy gave me the run around for months, constant delays and rescheduling, etc. Then I talked with Aleksandr and within a DAY he was able to diagnose the problem; picked up a new dryer, delivered, installed it, rewired my house and found solutions that NONE of the other three contractors and electricians could find. He completely came to my rescue, and blew me away with how quick and easy he made the whole process. He should have been the first call that I made months and months ago. He will be the first call that I make, in the future, with any of my home needs. I will be recommending him to all my friends and family. Absolute FIVE STAR service!!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

You cannot DIY a gunite pool—unless, of course, you’re a homeowner who happens to also be a professional pool installer. And even pros need to have experience with gunite pools, in particular, before installing one. Only a skilled gunite pool technician can install this type of pool—it’s not a project you can do yourself.

Yes, you can put too much shock in a pool, and it is crucial to follow the directions on the product you are using. Adding excess shock can upset the chemical balance, make the water cloudy, have adverse effects on swimmers, damage pool equipment or surfaces, and even encourage certain types of algae to grow. If you have over-shocked your pool, perform a water test and adjust the chemicals as necessary. The pool's chemical balance will eventually return to normal as the excess chlorine dissipates over time.

Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. To ensure frogs don’t hang out in your pool for long periods, safely remove them once you spot them in your pool and install a frog log so they can easily hop out on their own.

Yes, it’s possible to DIY a plunge pool and shave labor costs off of the project total. If you’re considering a DIY build, keep in mind that you will be responsible for pool installation and landscaping (which may require excavation). This type of DIY project is best left to particularly handy homeowners who have prior pool installation experience.

Yes, it’s possible to put too much salt in your saltwater pool, and doing so can cause a number of problems, including corroding metal parts and causing the chlorinator to stop working correctly. In general, slightly elevated salt levels won’t cause serious problems beyond salty-tasting water, but you should dilute the water in a pool with extremely high salt levels to prevent damage to its components.
