"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. He ordered the wrong size windows, that he himself measured, and instead of replacement windows ordered new construction windows. This resulted in increased costs to us for reframing and for having to replace the custom shades that no longer fit. Just a very bad and costly experience. While they claim 100% satisfaction guaranteed, they were not willing to assume any responsibility for an incompetent project manger. Would not recommend and will never even consider again."

To reset an electric fireplace, first shut the unit off using the control panel or remote control. Make sure the unit is entirely shut down, then unplug it from the power outlet. The best place to install a wood stove is near an outside wall. This makes it easier to route a chimney through the roof than if it were located in the dead center of your house. No combustible materials should be near the wood-burning stove, and depending on the building code, 20 inches to 36 inches of space should be allowed between the side wall and the stove.

You only need to repoint a chimney every 30 or more years, with some repointing jobs only necessary after several decades. If your chimney’s brickwork looks worn out or crumbly, hire a pro to inspect and repoint the chimney to improve its strength and waterproofing for many years to come.
