"They cleaned my gutters, installed gutter covers, and then cleaned the exterior of the home (deck, yard, and siding). They really lived up to their name, ASAP, seeing as they were able to do all of this *the same day* that I contacted them. London and Jake were a pleasure to work with; both were very professional, friendly, and conscientious. I felt their prices were fair and I have already recommended them to one of my neighbors."

"I hired Andy and his crew to clean my windows this spring and I could not be happier. They did an outstanding job, my wife and I are extremely pleased. Great value for the service provided. I definitely be asking them to come back again when I need their services. I would highly recommend Andy and his company for their cleaning services. Very courteous and professional. "Susannah is a GEM! We love her and will never hire anyone else to clean our house. She has great attention to detail and goes above and beyond. After she leaves, we just point out things she did such as “She cleaned my mouse pad!” or “She cleaned the toaster oven!” And praise her work. She is professional, reliable, and does such a good job. She is worth every single penny and more. We are so lucky to have her!!"

"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."

"James and Tim were very friendly, professional, timely and efficient. There was no mess to pick up. They wore booties over their shoes and laid down a big blanket to work on. They explained what they were doing and why. They price was great. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a stove / chimney cleaning. If I needed any other work done they would be my first call again!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

For special occasions, follow the same 15% to 20% tipping suggestion on the final cost of the service. Cleaning for holidays and parties can sometimes exceed $400, depending on if it’s a deep clean or involves more specialized requests (like yard clean up, unpacking decorations, or rearranging furniture). In which case, a $400 service would result in a tip between $40 to $80.

Service costs depend on several factors, including the system's age, type, and size, as well as the complexity of the repair. Labor costs and whether replacement parts are necessary also play a significant role.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.

The answer to this question varies by the household, as well as by the room. For high-traffic areas in busier households, aim to mop your floors at least once a week or more as needed. Homes and rooms with less foot traffic can likely get away with mopping every two weeks. Keep an eye on your floors throughout the month and adjust this chore on your household cleaning checklist as necessary.

When you deep clean your washing machine, using hot water is the best practice since it’s more effective than cold water at killing various types of bacteria and viruses. Plus, hot water tends to break down soap residue more efficiently.
