Mark is the trapeze artist who climbs to the top of the trees to cut them in sections, being precisely careful as to where it lands so as to not harm stonewalls and nearby plants. Caleb worked hard trimming and cleaning up on the ground. Their price compares or beats all others too. Both of them are true gentleman and we would hire them again in a minute!"

First, most contractors will have a structural engineer create a report and plan for your project to ensure it’s safe to cut into the load-bearing wall. The contractor will then excavate around the wall, if necessary, measure the opening—allowing for additional space to fit and level the door, and then cut the doorway out. They will likely install a steel lintel as a header over the door for support. A jackhammer is usually needed to break up slabs of asphalt into smaller pieces. The most effective method when removing an entire driveway is an excavator that breaks apart and pries away asphalt.

To estimate concrete removal costs, determine the area of the concrete by multiplying the width and length. The result will give you the square footage. Then, multiply the square footage by the cost of concrete removal, which is $2 to $6 per square foot for concrete up to 6 inches thick. For thicker concrete, double the square footage costs to get your estimate. 

Disposal costs are often factored into the cost per square foot, but check your contract. If concrete disposal is not included, you’ll pay $50 to $100 per ton.

Probably the most cost-efficient way to remove a tree stump is to use Epsom salts, which help accelerate the rotting process making it easier to remove by hand once nature has taken its course. Burning a tree stump doesn’t tend to cost much either, but is a riskier DIY method.

Yes, you can use a Dremel to cut pavers, but you’ll need a masonry cut-off wheel and a Dremel that accepts a 3 1/2-inch cutting wheel. Slowly run the masonry cut-off wheel along your cut line, and then continue making shallow passes. Once the cut is about 1/8 inch deep, you can drive a chisel into the center of it to complete the cut.
