"Andyâ s and Ben were the most professional and the quality of their work was outstanding. They quoted the job and came in exactly as quoted. They had the very large tree down and the entire tree removed in less than 3 hours. They were on time, very respectful of my property and cleaned up my property to look better than before the tree removal. While on site they also cleared a 14â x 20â pad and filled it with gravel to be ready for a large Gazebo to be placed on the site. They also had 6 truck loads of plant mix spread on my 800â road. I highly recommend Andy and will use him again for my projects. Very satisfying experience working with Andy. Larry in Vermont"

"Isaac and his crew were very professional. Any questions I had were answered promptly. They were very efficient and paid great detail to every aspect of the project. I had them prep for a pad for my home, some drainage work and also installed my mound system. Very satisfied with the quality of work and would recommend to everyone. Ypu want the job done right the first time Isaac and his crew are the ones to go with."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Prior to excavation, you should prepare the dig site and call 311 before you sign anything.

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.

Several government-backed lending programs can help first-time home buyers purchase a home with little money down. FHA, USDA, and VA loans are options for qualifying borrowers, though many conventional mortgage lenders will lower down payment rates to as low as 3 percent.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

Land surveys don’t technically expire. They do serve as a point of reference and a snapshot of your property, though, so as soon as you make changes to your property (and even if your neighbor makes certain changes to theirs), your existing land survey becomes inaccurate, and a new one must be done. Even if you don’t make any changes to your property, many states only guarantee the accuracy of a land survey for five to ten years.

A land survey can take anywhere from a few hours to a month or more, depending on the size of the property, the type of survey, the property’s accessibility and topography, and the availability of historical property records. A simple boundary survey to determine a fence line can be completed in a day while surveying 50 acres of undeveloped woodlands may take weeks or longer.
